The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
MOREMOREMOREMOREMORE! Serious, adorable, and I want more. I want to see Logan's reaction to the condoms in the trash and to Marie ignoring that anything happened--or trying to!
HEHEHEHEHEHE!!! Okay, I can breathe again. Too cute. My only complaint is that the chapters are so short! I'd love to see a little more in each one, especially if it involves Rogue being completely embarrassed.
Ouch! Hopefully he'll be okay!
“If I fall, I’ll just touch you. Wow! Healing powers! Is that new?” ROTFLMAO!! Ha! Gotcha, big over-protective guy!
Yay! He's okay! And yes, it was scary. I don't want Logan to hurt even if he does heal! Well, unless it's in the middle of sex--or the beginning--and it's Rogue doing it. I mean, that I like. Still, this was good. Let's see her admit it! Or him! I'll take both if you wanna do that!
Huh. Interesting development. I guess it's just kind of a shocker at this point in the story. I can't help wondering why she hasn't exhibited the telepathic powers like she should have if she killed Jean. I mean, everyone usually goes on in post-X3 fic that they need a telepath pretty badly, so wouldn't she have seen that and stepped forward? Why is she hiding? These are the things that can keep a person up at night. ;-) I just hope you do some actual, honest-to-Rogan smut soon. Because that's always fun.
I read this a few nights ago, and it was literally so late by the time I finished that I couldn't type anymore, just turn off the computer and bury my head in the pillow. But I did it with a smile. I absolutely LOVE what you did hear. It's a great way to get rid of Magneto, in a symphathetic way, and I thought that blank emails and calls where she never said a word were interesting. I'm not sure I could put up with someone doing that to me, but sometimes I like to see Logan tortured. Maybe it's a hold-over from actually watching the second and third movies. *mutters about stupid, blind men*
Author's Response: Thank you again for this lovely feedback, and thank you for giving it your precious sleeping hours! Yes--I\'m sort of in love with Magneto, so if I can help it, I never want to get rid of him. Haha, and yes, I obviously enjoy writing a tortured Logan, though more because his character is practically always torturing himself. \"Put a cigar out on your hand? Really? Err--healthy.\"
I think this was a great story, beautifully told. I liked your pacing a lot, even when it kind of drove me crazy because it was slow. It was a good kind of crazy! Good build-up of suspense.
Author's Response: Thank you for the lovely feedback--yes, my general rule of pacing is \"let as little actually happen as possible\" haha. I\'m happy you responded to it!
Whew. This one just kind of grips you. I've gotta wonder if she's just using Gambit, or if she's using Logan, or what. Driving me just a tiny bit crazy.
Author's Response: Haha, thank you. I never know what to say in the comments when people wonder aloud what\'s happening! :) As a writer and a reader, I don\'t really ever care about \"spoiling\" plot points (since I\'m only distantly acquainted with the notion of plot points anyway, haha), or having them \"spoiled\" for me, so I tend to just divulge details on what\'s going on, if I think it serves them better as readers. I\'m trying to keep myself from doing it for this story, though. :) But thank you for reading!
I keep feeling bad because your updating seems to coincide nicely with my lunch hour at work, which is good for me but means that I'm not logged on to review right after reading it. :-( Anyway, this was great. Seriously great. I'm starting to see how everything connects, and even though I'm pulling for Rogan to the bitter end, I feel sympathy toward Gambit, too, and that's rare because his character almost always is just too annoying for words to me. And yours is, it's true, but it's more like the endearing kind of annoying you put up with 'cause he's just too damn cute!
Author's Response: Haha, please, any comment at all is much cherished by me. I understand what you mean about Gambit\'s annoying-ness; it really is a crucial part of his character. But there\'s something about that, in itself, that compells me--I like the things that someone so external, so jokey can bring to the table. Somehow, tortured people who pretend to be cheerful and blasé are often more moving to me than tortured people who just live their torturedness (ahem, everyone else in my work). And since my Logan and Rogue characterizations are so internal they\'re practically mute, without Gambit there\'d be no dialogue in this damn thing at all! Just people crying in their gloves. Haha.
This was very interesting. I actually love the spin you did with Harada. Very cool. I like that she went there for revenge and came out with answers and still none of his blood on her hands. Good job!
Author's Response: Thanks for the lovely comment! I\'m glad you enjoyed the Harada section; yes, it seems I have a thing for somewhat de-villainizing old villains. :)
So close, so close...PLEASE tell me this ends good? Or at least has some damn closure? It's just so raw...
Author's Response: Haha--final part added, that\'s all I can say. :)
:-( I just can't quite see Rogue being so cruel. I might be able to if there were some background in there--why would she act that way? Say that to him? It just didn't seem like there was a reason, I guess, and that's what disturbed me the most.
Author's Response: She didn\'t really care. She\'s just having a good time. To her, it\'s just a game. She was just flirting. Perhaps she doesn\'t realize (or if she does, she doesn\'t care) that to him it\'s not a game.
Aw, poor Marie. I hope the Professor can help wean her off of the music!
I love that Marie put Bobby in his place! Overconfident little prick.
Author's Response: I felt bad because he is somewhat overconfident but I don\'t think he completely deserved that much of a dressing down. He just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Mt. Marie was about to blow and he was the trigger. Thanks for reading!
LOL I LOVE THAT! Marie beat him using himself! (Does that even make sense?)
Author's Response: Makes total sense. And that\'s what I was thinking when I wrote it. Is this crazy? Nah.
I appreciate people who are actually able to plan out a plot. I really do, even though I usually have no idea what's going to happen in my own stories until I'm writing them. Plotting means you write faster, right? 'Cause that would be awesome. I love this story. It's very tense, and I've been expecting this chapter the whole time.
Author's Response: Ha, well I can\'t claim to be a good plot-planner. This started out with, \"what if they fought together before they even knew each other\" and went to \"Logan has to stick with Marie, so I\'ll give him a reason to do so,\" and that pretty much carried me through the betrayal. Now I\'m working the kinks out of the last part. I\'m so glad you\'re liking the story. Thanks so much for reviewing!
Oh, make him crawl, make him crawl! I loved this chapter. I thought you did wonderfully displaying Rogue's conflicted mental state--in fact, it was one of my favorite portrayals of this common state of her mind that I've read in the last few years.
Author's Response: Well, I don\'t know if Logan ever really crawls, but he will apologize at least, and suffer more than a little! ;-) I\'m so glad you liked how the inner conflict played out.
"The end is here. The end is here!" -- LOL Yep.
Author's Response: And if it isn\'t really, it will be when Logan gets home! Thanks for the review! I really need to come back to this... Measure for Measure has been eating up my brain lately though.
Okay, so maybe this was Jean messing with them after all? Or is Rogue developing something new? C'mon, you can't just leave it like that! Follow-up story? If it is Jean, maybe from her perspective?
Author's Response: I wondered if I was being a bit oblique there ... it was Rogue, who had an accidental brush with Jean in her morning session :D
I'm in, too, despite having more than a few stories in the works and a few promised sequels. Y'all will forgive me for smutty wonderfulness, right? I hope so! I have some great ideas... *insert evil grin*
Awwwwww. Adorable shipper goodness. :-D
I actually really like this, and I'm incredibly curious about what's going on! Please, please, more!
