Okay, so I saw the update and thought, "huh, how did I miss this story?" So, I started reading... and couldn't stop! This is good stuff---good character development, interesting twist with the virus, nice mix of the 'normal' world with Keltie and Rogue's less standard experiences. Please keep the updates coming! Now, I really should be getting back to work...

Author's Response: Thanks! I posted the first ten chapters rather rapidly although they\'ve been up at ff.net for a while, so I\'m not surprised you missed it. I really try to balance Keltie and Rogue\'s world--there\'s nothing more annoying than OC\'s that take over the story, but in this case Keltie is really there so that I can tell Rogue\'s story. \r\n\r\nGood luck with your work...I should probably get back to that too...:)

Ali, this is good, good stuff! There's an authenticity here that makes me really care about the characters, and the ways that they interact, understand and misunderstand each other avoids ever feeling contrived. Keep up the good writing and the posting!

Another great chapter! Every time I see you've updated, I think, "Yippee!" and devour the chapter. Then I get to the end and think, "Damn!" As in, damn that was good and damn I have to wait for the next installment. So, here we are again-- yippee! and damn! You do a great job of making the characters feel very real and making me care about them. I am adding this to my favorites, something long overdue. Can't wait for the next chapter!!!

Okay, I just reread the chapter, because I read it in a hurry the first time. Oof-- Rogue's letter to Logan just socked me in the gut... in a good way. Well done! And now I'm going to stop commenting, and commence my (hopefully) patient waiting for the next chapter.

Wow. I can't believe this story is over. Over! I have enjoyed it so much-- the way you developed the characters, their mixtures of strengths and weaknesses, the method of using letters/articles/announcements to tell the story. Rogue and Keltie were great, but I think (surprisingly) that John was my favorite. I hope you enjoyed writing it as much as I enjoyed reading it! No doubt I'll read it again and again to lift my spirits and make me laugh when things get stressful or boring or both. And I'll look forward to whatever you write and post next. Thanks for the great story!

Author's Response: I\'m so glad! I actually think John is one of my favorites too! When I started writing this, I had NO idea where it was going to take me, and John was always the biggest surprise. I really did enjoy writing it, as long as it took me to complete, and I\'m going to miss it a lot. But I\'m trying to work on some other things, so hopefully they will be posted eventually as well :)\r\n\r\nThe fact that you think you will read it again is really such a huge compliment, and I can\'t thank you enough :)

An update--- whoop! Normally I'm not a smut-fan and tend to shy away from NC-17 and the like, but I'm just really digging your Marie and the whole set-up of this story, so I'm sticking with it. I like that she had enough of a sense of self-preservation to not tell Logan about her ability to flip him like a burger. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Okay, now is the time for Super Rogue! Seriously, the woman *knows* what Magneto is like, knows that he'll use Logan to get to her, and knows he can't be trusted. So, don't let Magneto manipulate you, Rogue! Fight! You're tough, you're badass, you've got way more up your sleeve than that villain. Don't go quietly! Damn the torpedos (or, in this case, darts) and full steam ahead! Make Mags wish he'd never even heard of you!

Author's Response: Yeah, I\'ve been surprised by how this Marie has turned out so far...she\'s a little more vulnerable (i.e., weepy) than I usually portray her. I like a kickass Rogue myself. :-D I promise she will do what she can. Glad you decided to power on despite the smut...I don\'t know if there will be more, probably not, but if so I will definitely warn if there is.

Happy anniversary! And many thanks for finishing up this great story. It's *so* satisfying to have Rogue kickin' some villain butt and riding off into the sunset. And it was interesting to think of Logan as being in better condition after getting rid of all the metal. Good thinking! And feel free to post another story anytime. :)

Author's Response: Aw, thanks! I\'m so glad you liked the end. I was worried that Marie wasn\'t ass-kicking enough...because I really wanted the reader to figure out what Marie\'s plan was as Logan did I felt I had to write it from his point of view, and then most of Marie\'s ass-kicking was \"off-camera\" because Logan was too busy with Mystique to see it! It did take serious chutzpah to strip the metal from Wolverine, though, so in that way I\'m glad Marie showed that she would do what she needed to do for them both to survive. Yeah, I can\'t remember what made me think that Logan would be happier without the metal...I think maybe some fic about how cold he gets. I was tempted to give it back to him fully in the end because it\'s so much a part of his character, but I settled for just the claws. ;-) I never know if I\'m going to write another story or not, but I promise if I do I\'ll post it here!

Oh, I like it. I really do. You've wrapped this up so well. I appreciate the hopeful resolution. I was a little concerned throughout the story at how all the angst would resolve... or not. I can deal with angst, as long as the ending is happy. Too much sadness and crap in real life for me to enjoy it on the page as well. Thank you for such a satisfying but not sentimental ending. And now, bring on the mankini!
