I'm a long standing Logan / Wolverine fan,
not limited to 'Rogan' because I was into the comics way before the movie
and as you know the big screen Marie/Rogue character is nothing like that of the comicverse.
Still, I can't complain about how they portrayed her because the resulting Logan/Marie tension ended up being so hot! ;)

this story really grabbed me so I thought I should leave a line..
I read where you said that this is an old fic, one of your early ones, but it's really good!
I was confused in the 1st chapter, for some reason i thought they were prisoners, I guess because they were so sad and lonely, then the next few chapters clarified how they were in the school but felt alone and marginalised.
It was so sad to think of them as being at Xavier's but being so unhappy, it was really gave us a different look at that school.
Logan and Marie's interactions are just so sweet, I loved every one of them, and I actually liked the open ending!
What if it had been Rogue and not Wolverine who took out Phoenix?

Difficult scene, very harsh on poor Logan! :(
Couldn't understand at first why Rogue was so angry at Logan after Scott had explained why everyone had been kept away, and when she asks Logan he explains too, then he gets blamed for everything when Rogue was the one who made the choice to take out Jean instead of him! Understandable though given what she's now going through because of her sacrifice. Love how she loses it at the end... poor Wolvie.

Good chapter!
It would make a lot of sense if Rogue 'lost' the control to her power because her body didn't want anyone touching her again after her childhood experiences.
Can't understand why, if her adoptive mother was also a mutant, Marie would have to leave home when her own powers surfaced?
I think Logan recovered rather too quickly from his ordeal given, for example, how long it takes him in the movies to recover from a knock on the head by Sabretooth or Jean's attacks, but the last scene was very sweet.

Mmm, I'm not really on board with how Rogue is getting to permanently keep the powers of everyone she touches. It's supposed to be a temporary thing unless she kills them in which case they stay with her permanently.
This way it's too easy.. she could just touch everyone for a short while and become the most powerful mutant ever!

good job on these last 2 chapters, tough ones to write!
i was surprised that Rogue's parents were rather easy on Logan given he's so visibly older, but then again they haven't seen her in 3years so they may well just be happy to see she's alive and protected.
good dialogue re Rogue's parents.. I wonder if she'll go looking for her mum and whether she'll make the connection that if Leah is a mutant it's likely that her own mother is too!

I was surprised that you went with Rogue's mum being an OC, guess I thought you'd go with the comic version of it being Mystique..
Author's Response: I\'m actually using a little from both the movies and the comics. Kind of mixing it up a little. Like the background comes from the movies, but the fact that she can use powers she\'s obsorbed is from later issues of Ultiamte X-Men. I AM going to use her, though.

Rogue killing Mystique and Magneto so easily wasn't quite what I was expecting. It belittles them.

I find it really hard to swallow that she would not have looked through his jacket pockets at all for the whole month that she'd been on the run and sleeping with his jacket, and that she only now heard the rustling of the paper. Sorry!
I also struggle with coincidences such as the perfect timing of his arrival to save her from the clerk.
I'm not sure whether this is coming to a close now or whether it's going to get better..
Author's Response: I had my husbands coast for the enitre year of 2005 while he was deployed in Iraq, and didn\'t lokoin them until two weeks before he came home. She\'s not been paying attnetion to much. Logan was very far away from her when he got the text. And he did as she told him, went to the desk before he went to her room.

ooh, getting exciting again!
liked the scene where she tried to cover herself up and flinched from his touch and he said “You don’t do that, not with me,”
and great twist with her now being on a mutant register book due to having gone and taken the cure.
still think she's pregnant, but now doubt her power will return, since it makes their lives rather difficult, but rather think that she's getting the enhanced Wolvie powers thanks to the baby she's carrying.

Really liking this story.. your characterisation and descriptions are very good!
Great opening chapter, i like how Logan takes it personal when Marie flinches from him and tries to push her boundaris later by asking for a kiss, then feels like a right old letch when he finds out her real age. Ha ha.
Then in the 3rd chapter he moves on to smacking on Jean 'cause at least she's old enough. Brilliant!
The only thing I didn't like so much was the amount of extracts from the movie in the 3rd chapter, seemed a bit much, but I guess you want to weave your own story into it.
Looking forward to reading more..
Author's Response: The weaving is something I was hesitating over. On one hand, I want to keep that AU feel. On the other...there are just parts of the movie I\'ve always wanted to turn Rogan. So by placing them in the context of this story, I can totally do that. *g* I can understand how it feels repetitive, though. But glad you don\'t mind the Logan/Jean so much. She is a necessary evil -- er, I mean distraction. Hee.
