Logan has taken in a desperate and on-the-run Marie who has offered ‘anything’ in exchange for his protection. Logan wants everything. This story chronicles is what happens to them and their relationship dynamic as they learn about each other during the return ride to Xavier’s. It also explores how their rather non-traditional relationship is received by the team once they arrive at the mansion. This story was inspired by Kristine’s “Anything” http://www.wolverineandrogue.com/wrfa/viewstory.php?sid=2559. This story will make more sense if you have read "Anything" first as my opening chapter picks up right where Kristine’s story ends. Besides her story is one of the best W/R pieces ever written so you might as well go read it - NOW! :)…I’ll wait.

Wow, I'm glad you're back. I'm glad Logan saw what game Jean was playing with him and relaized exactly how much influence he has with Marie. Both good and bad.
I hope he'll be more considerate now that he doesn't have to worry about steeling himself against Jean. That ship has sailed, and sunk spectacularly, like the Titanic.;)
Can't wait to see how his homecoming will go. But preferably after he and Marie are a tight unit. He may be aware of the mind-fuckery Jean engages in, but Marie is not prepared for it.

Surprised that Xavier has no clue at all what the woman gets up to. You'd think he'd keep a fairly close watch on the situations involving Logan, since he's so important and vulnerable due to his amnesia and PTSD.

I will tell you one of my things about fics with Xavier is that he doesn\'t seem as powerful or as informed as he should be (or he is the bad guy, which I don\'t mind but anyway) so don\'t count our good Charles out of this one. And Logan is never all that far from Charles\'s mind, never fear.
What if Logan and Marie had gotten closer before he left at the end of the first film? What if Logan realized he did have feelings for her? Logan stays to help Marie deal with the side-effects of touching him and Magneto.
