The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
I have now read all four longshots on this archive; I loved this story the most with Lifetimes as close second. You have a truly great gift in weaving the story and apart some issues with grammar - I have to say your stories are among the most creative and thought-provoking that I have read here. I simply adored your Rogue in this one; she was such a mystery in the beginning but as the story unfolded - you have shown so many layers to her character. The reasons she left the mansion were so poignant and Logan slamming the door in her face after Jean's death was truly shocking. You explained it so well - he was her rock, an outcast just like her. And that was her place of belonging. I especially loved the entire conversation in the coffee place - especially the part when Rogue explained she was no failure even though she was not walking the same path as other X-men. Mystique and Gambit were so well-done, I simply loved the ending and how it all came together. Rogue destroying the dairies showed she was ready to make her own future. Great work!
I absolutely love Rogue in this one! The sass, it's all the sass! :-) their interaction is so fresh and amazing especially since I could feel Logan's mood improving even after such a gruesome nightmare. I love this story as well as Macha's sequel. Brilliant job!
This was such a wonderful journey, a truly gorgeous read. I have been reading WR fanfiction for two months now in search of good stories and this one healed some wounds :-) I stumbled upon some really good stories (like Ransom's Skin and bones) but they depressed the hell out of me and I felt like Logan and Marie were so off centre. This story made everything right. Everything that was wrong with the movies regarding them, and thank you for highlighting that one quality most fics don't mention - Logan's kindness. And your Marie was truly mature, but most of all endearing. I loved her voice, the pace of the story... And that kiss - it was a truly wonderful moment, a rare gift for Logan. Thank you so much for a fabulous read!
Author's Response: Thank you! This (and the two sequels) was one of my last forays into the world of fanfiction before I quit to write books that actually sell. *g* And they are among my favorites... I\'m very glad that you enjoyed this one. Perhaps you\'ll like the sequels, too. :-)
This is such a brilliant beginning! I am seriously in love with your Rogue! What a way to set up a relationship. I do hope you'll return to the story one day.
Oh my god this was hilarious! Loved it every step of the way! Brilliant!
I have read all three parts in one go but I have left the review for the first part because the Greek mythology theme was so engaging. I learned to love books through fairytales and Greek mythology in elemantary school, so when you connected Logan and Atlas I was in geek heaven :-). That said, I have adored the pace of both sequels, and your version of Logan and Marie has left me with such good feeling. I love how they are fleshed out and their interactions are simply fascinating to me... I loved the scene when Logan confesses why he was waiting so long to come back in Thanksgiving, and the love scenes in the guesthouse were amazingly done. Everything is tied up so nicely but you had me wishing for more :-) and that's the biggest compliment from me. Since then I'm having a hard time finding the stories that have left such an impact on me. Thank you again! Ps I have loved all your stories on this site. The OCD freak in me did not let me rest :-)
The gods of fanfiction have smiled upon Scott and relieved him off his misery! :-) what a great idea!
Oooh, any fic where Logan tells Jean no can't be bad in my book. Does that make me a bad person? :-D loved this story through and through. Rogue was so interesting, sassy, funny and smart. Jean came across as such a poser - I always disliked how easily she accepted Logan's flirting with no thought how it could affect Scott or string Logan along. Jean hating is a-ok in my book. Great story!
Wow! I love this version of Wolverine. And just like Marie, I think he deserves some freedom. :-) I do hope you'll get back to this one and finish it cuz this Rogan is bloody amazing!
Now this was a truly fabulous read, I love your Rogue - strong and sassy, and Logan was so amazing! I like em dark and snarky :-) many stories here have helped a bit with X3 letdown. I did't like many aspects of X2 mostly how they separated Logan and Rogue, and made him into pansy that pines over Jean. Rogan connection in X1 was so amazing - and they could have been such a compelling couple (age difference, Logan's past and wanderlust, Rogue's mutation... - you have explored some of this so wonderfully here! Yet they opted for old-fashioned love triangle J/S/L? Anyhoo, I love your characterisations and their interactions. I liked your Jean immensely, especially after Phoenix was destroyed - poor woman having to succumb to that. Hank and Jubes were soooo lovable!!! All in all, great job!
Loved this one! You managed to fool me regarding Logan's feelings until Marie absorbed his thoughts. Wonderfully done!
I really loved the story. I didn't think I would get into the Marie-assassin bit but you got it down to perfection. I enjoyed your Victor immensely - I like him better this way - he is more complex than the usual depiction of him as sadistic beast. I wished there was perhaps one more chapter in the middle solidifying Rogan relationship but still it was reallx well done. Especially the part in the Bar (jack was a stroke of genius) and in Logan's cabin. That conversation was wonderful. Great job, all in all!
Loved both versions. Good job!
Marie returns to the mansion at the end of X3 after getting the cure. A conversation with Bobby leaves Marie feeling a little lost, so she turns to a friend she can always count on.
I really loved this one! You captured the moments between them so beautifully. I wish there was more... I loved this Rogue and I would have loved to see Logan after dealing with Jean's death. (Although I could never believe he really loved her, more an idea of her)...
This was such a brilliant story! You have dealt with difficult issues and yet everything felt so genuine. I loved you Marie and seeing her struggle... It was heart-breaking. I loved how Logan finally accepted things, stopped thinking of others' opinion on their relationship and took initiative to be there for Marie. All in all, great work! Thank you!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I\'m so glad you found the story and enjoyed it. I really appreciate you taking time to write a review. :)
Oooh I like this song so much (the video especially) and the fic was just perfect. I really liked Rogue's way of thinking - she came across as a wonderful unique person. Just right for Logan :-)
I can't believe there are no reviews for this one! I absolutely loved it. Rogue's decision, the explanation and his reply. Bravo!
This was such a moving story. You managed to portray Rogue's loneliness and pain. Her desolation really affected me. I especially loved her letter to Logan - it felt so in character. I do wish there was a happy ending... Sigh. Thank you for a great story.
Brilliantly executed plot! How original and engaging! I loved it to bits!
Oooh I loved this meeting! Their interaction is full of chemistry. Only downside is that the Xmen really do have lousy timing :-D hope to see that sequel soon!
Oh I'm already loving this one! I can't wait to hear what awaits us on this one! It feels so original! :-)
I'm always glad to see some of my favourite authors coming back to Rogan! I hope your writer's block will leave you alone so that you can finish this great story. See, i'm already hooked. I need some Rogan after the heartbreak that was Days of future past and Logan...
Thank you!
Author's Response: I can\'t tell you how happy this made me. THANK YOU
I'm so glad you are still writing this one. I can't wait for more :-)
Author's Response: I want to say \"Of course I am!\" but To Run in Circles hangs on me like Jacob Marley\'s chains lol. Thank you for the kind encouragement!
