I saw the movies first on TV, years ago, and from the first one only two scenes planted themselves firmly in my mind - the one when Rogue nearly gets stabbed, and the scene on the statue when she's rescued by Logan's near sacrifice. Plus Michael Kamen's music in that moment, piercingly beautiful and telling us what the screenplay refused to tell. I never thought I'd ever write fanfiction in this universe, but well... here you are. *smiles*
