I am in love with this story. Their attraction and exploration doesn't seem rushed or forced at all. Very well written and this chapter, as well as all of them so far, was fantastic. Keep it up!

This is so sweet. The whole story feels like you taped a bit of paper reading "safe and warm" up to your monitor. Not that you overuse the words, but rather that those things are such a theme here.

Author's Response: Ha, I *definitely* overuse warm. I try to go back over my stuff, making sure I don't have it in there too often, but it sneaks in there anyway. I'm one of those people who is always freezing, so there's nothing like a warm snuggle. ;-) Thanks for reviewing!

I worried that making him very laconic would make him hard to connect with as a character, but in the end he has so many inner monologues it hardly matters that he rarely says stuff out loud. :-D

Good god, those two are horny little things! Id tell you to try and rein them in, but hell, I cannot get enough of the smut. Or the story :) fantastic chapter! Dying for more!

I love the tenderness here. Interesting contrast with the sharp edges between them in "The Merchandise" -- it's sexy but so loving and gentle, even with the urgency you've conveyed in this chapter.

Author's Response: Aw, thanks! Yeah, for some reason I think the characters work a lot better when Marie is the more stable one, and Logan is having his rough edges smoothed. I haven't really done that since "The Prisoner," but somehow it seems to work much better. Thanks for reviewing!

I always love your stories, and this one is no exception. I really like the idea of her spending a year alone, which looks like it may end up being almost a year of Logan being the only person she sees (which is, of course, awesome). I love the progression so far and I'm always waiting on the edge of my seat for the next update! Although it's too bad whoever taught Marie her first aid skills didn't cover the fact that alcohol will actually lower the core body temp and is a very bad idea with hypothermia. Seriously, truly, not nitpicking or criticizing, it's actually a super common idea so it makes sense that she'd try it (plus he'd enjoy the drink anyway), it's just a factoid I learned from red cross first aid class.

Yeah, my original conception of this story was that it would be like a "bottle episode" of a t.v. series...for the vast majority of the story it would be just the two of them, and the slow development of their relationship. And, yeah, you're right, she screwed up. I knew alcohol doesn't help, but I didn't realize it actually hurt -- good too know! She also shouldn't be rubbing his arms, etc., but, I figured without internet or anything she'd be relying on common wisdom for the most part. Thanks so much for reviewing!
