Ah, your mission unaccomplished. Dutifully awaiting for you to finish up my thoughts with another awesome chapter.

Because no reader should be left behind.

LOL,
Good Job!

Author's Response: Coming right up. I'm extraordinarily glad you think so.

Yeay, Rosie's BACK!

I like reading about Logan going on the hunt.

I'll trade you an awesome wedding story for that naked pic, once I get the first set of 12 chapters done.

Keep goin babe and we'll keep reading!

Author's Response: Haha! It's a deal. :~D :~D

Excellent as always. I really like the imagery you're using. The conflict between Logan and the Wolverine feels so harsh. I also liked the contrast of the animal holding back the man instead of the reverse.

Author's Response: Awww, thank you! I can't describe how much that means to me. >hugs very tightly<

Love, love, LOVE this chapter. Where to start? Fascinated by the idea of Rogue using her powers in a different way.

These lines are so exquisitely wonderful, if you had posted them alone this would have still been a 5-star chapter:
Logan breathed in the fumes of what he had done, watched particles only he could see swirl, a dance just for him. His heart was pounding, a furious, fleshy beast, the determined engine of a ship in turbulent water.

I really like the moment where you comment on the rarity of Wolverine restraining Logan rather than vice versa.

One thing did confuse me. Did you really mean to say home twice here, or was the ivory-something meant to be something else?

civilian in a war-zone who's just watched an ivory home turn his home into dust

Author's Response: Oh, yes. Definitely a typo! Ugh.That first "home" was supposed to be "explosion". My bad... :~) I'm so very glad that you liked this--your review sparked a pretty good day for me. >hugs<

Wonderful,amazing,magnificent,staggering,phenomenal!!!

There are not enough adjectives to describe how much I love this fic.

Author's Response: Oh, mess. I wish I could hug you. Thank you so, so, so much. This put a huge smile on my face.

One cigar a bit of rain and a car with a mystery occupant.....doesn’t sound much really, but then again when you write about it all bets are off! Your descriptions are completely off the scale good, an absolutely stunning start...... a slightly harder/deeper read than most fics, very intelligent writing and beautiful to read.
‘And beneath those, so subtle it was overlooked in his triumph of recognizing the others, a fraction of something that in his long and mostly unrecollected years had never touched his airways’. – yet again you nail the end.

A faint interest, a habitual twitch in his groin, a possible vessel in which he might siphon a fraction of his restlessness......She was not a crush, not an obsession—........A slight, half-interest, and nothing more.
She wasn't.
She wasn't.......gotta love his thought process! Bless him, something tells me he may be slightly wrong!

Love this line - ‘a close friend of death but not half so familiar with its sibling grief’,

Oh well, here we go again...........once again you’re doing it too damn well so you leave me no choice...........I’m in x

Author's Response: **YES!!!!** I kinda happy-shouted at the computer screen as I read this, pure and fervent joy. I care very much what you think, so this has me dancing. I wish I could hug you. Thanks very, very, very, very much.

So, I'm having Maths higher level right now, and since I'm not so good at it one would think I'm paying attention to the professor. But no. I'm reading this. Bahaha. (seriously, I shouldn't laugh. And don't worry, I'm not blaming your either.)

Anyway, Logan isn't the only one wondering about the word "again"... whatever the reason is, I'm sure it's a gasp-oh-my-god one.

Favorite line: "--more on the mutant activists linked to Al Qaida when we return to FOX--" hahaha made me laugh cause I can seriously picture this. If mutants were real, I'm 99% sure that they would somehow be linked to "terrorism"

Btw, I love your version of Rogue; she's so cheeky and bold. Good for her.

Author's Response: Math? Bllegh. I'm happy I could give you the slightest incentive--if death by boredom wasn't enough-- to ignore that class. Thank you, as ever--you have a knack for reviewing just as I'm coming back from a crappy day. >hugs<...And I'm glad you liked the FOX-thing. ;~)

Yes, what did happen to Ororo?

And I am certainly "sufficiently interested" to keep going. These MRA-fics are almost uniformly depressing, yet I read them all avidly. Why is that?

And what are you aiming for, with this extra-surly characterization of Logan? What has made the difference in his life from the way the man is portrayed in movie or comics, where he is at least a little less of a social pariah, and a mite more balanced, with better connections to the world outside the Xmen. This guy seems completely at loose ends ,and I'm wondering: why?

Author's Response: What fun would it be if I told you? What fun would it be if I did have those insightful questions? Thank you. I'm pleased that this story finds you intrigued.

Hooray for a new chapter! I'm really liking it (no big surprise). So rough to see the mansion beset with hard times, but oppression does make for great stories. I hope you're wrong about this being a short one. ;-) And how mean of you to tease us by ending on the first real Rogan interaction!

Author's Response: I'm very glad you're enjoying it (and relieved--I'm really wrestling with that rambling instinct in this one; will hopefully tone down on the over-description for the next chappie). Am unaccustomed to working with this kind of time setting, so it's great to have someone as incredible as you on board.

I was glad to see another chapter of this story. I was sad to read about Ororo, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Right? Right! ;)

There are many things I liked in this, the primary one being:

"And Logan, a close friend of death but not half so familiar with its sibling grief, wondered bemusedly if four months was the traditional point when the dead were replaced and forgotten."

I have no idea how you come up with these things & piece them together so well. I've given up on trying to make my writing on level with yours. It just won't happen. I don't think anybody can. You've got too much talent and such a nuanced way of delivering these scenes and the words that make them.

Author's Response: It's sad, how unaware you are of your own supreme badassery in writing--though this did make me feel like I was standing on the top of the Empire State Building, beating my chest a la King Kong. Thank you, thank you, thank you for offering me this piece of a good day.

Seriously, now, Rose. Did you have to kill off Ororo? I know, it's not you; it's those damn stories. They just do whatever the hell they want. Brats.

Like what I'm seeing. But you tease, you. The anticipation is killing me. Logan and Marie nowwwwwww.

Author's Response: You're right. Someone once said, "I don't decide what my characters do; I only take dictation." It's one of my favorite quotes; anyone who writes knows just how true that is.rnrnAnyhoodles, thank you! You always make me smile. >hugs<

Happy to see you here again! I'm intrigued to see where this is going, cause it's vey different than what you usually write. Definitely different in a good way! Do I need to say more? Just keep it coming.

Favorite line "and her locks--streaked white through yet another fashion beyond his comprehension or patience"

Lots of love from Denmark

Author's Response: Happy to see *you* again. Hafta say, you're kinda my hero after your last reviews. Thank you very much; I hope you continue to enjoy this piece.

Interesting beginning, Id like to know where this is going. Also I would like to have a better knowledge of the english language because there are lines where I can understand about 65% of what youre writting, lucky me Google toolbar has a translator feature that always comes in handy when reading your stories. Good to have you back ;)

Author's Response: Ummm...Exposing my ignorance here...New Zealand isn't an English-speaking country? I'm sorry, will absolutely try to speak more clearly in the future. Thank you so much; great as ever to have the pleasure of your name on this review page.

OK..I have decided that no matter the plot Im going to read anything you write from this day forward...seriously your use of words could make even the most useless drivel (Ahem,Twilight) breathtakingly interesting...you should write books..lots of books so that I dont have to drive to the library on my lunch breaks just to see if you have updated.

Author's Response: OK...If you weren't a girl, and we weren't online, and if I weren't (somewhat) sane, I would ask you to marry me. That's how much I love you for this. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Love it! So many unanswered questions set up so elegantly -- where is Ororo? Why has the mansion gone to seed? And I agree about liking the potential for sassy Rogan action. I am so excited you started a new fic so soon. :-D

Author's Response: So soon? Lord, I've been stressing out over how long it has taken me to write this chapter. :~D I am immensely glad that you liked it, and hope you continue to do so.

Go ahead and untwist your guts, Rose dear. You have, as they say, done it again. Sign me up. Your gift for metaphor alone is reason to read anything you post, let alone the ever-growing, always-thought-provoking list of ways you find to introduce Logan and Rogue to one another. And as for the shift in style and the influence of Nabo-whoever-the-hell-that-is...one of the best things about your stories is that they make me THINK. This one is no exception. Oh, and I am inclined to hate you for being so damn prolific while you're at it. Not that I'd ever wish for you to be otherwise, but you might as well know I am jealous as hell. Yep, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. --Wendie

Author's Response: Prolific? *PROLIFIC??!!* Oh, mess. Lord Almighty. You can't imagine the relief, the gratitude, the bliss that came from reading this. I hopped around like an idiot, crowing in a distinctly humiliating and unavoidably high-pitched voice, "Prolific! Prolific! She called me prolific!" I can't stop beaming. I wish there were some better words for "Thank You" than just "Thank You", but that, alas, is what I'm stuck with.(Vladamir Nabokov? He wrote Lolita, among a dozen other lesser-know but exquisitely creepy classics.)

Every time I think I'm out, you pull me back in! I wish I had the patience to wait until you were finished with posting a story before I read it all whole, because waiting for updates of any my fave authors and stories is a peculiar kind of torture. But I like your stories so much that when I see your name on it I'm too exciting for something new by you that I have to start reading it right away. You shouldn't be stressed or worried about the reception when you submit the start of a new story because your writing is so good and your stories are just amazing.

I’m excited to see how it will turn out and I’m just going to have to suck it up and deal with the fact that real life keeps people from being able to finish and update as quickly as I might like, and that's ok. :) Thanks!

Author's Response: I am infinitely, supremely, emphatically happy for your impatience! A review from you is the greatest kind of reward.
