Woah! What's happening?? Boy, I sure didn't expect that! I hope you don't leave us waiting for too long.
Well, I guess I frankly would have preferred some other outcome to this chapter, but it's cool that you basically have X1 movieverse Logan being his old rascally self ... because he's meeting an entirely different Rogue this time, and boy is that interesting!
btw, you asked about the "rare gem" stories ... well, 1st thing that pops in my head is pretty much ANYthing by TinHutLady. She has these 2 unbelievably epic series ... I think it's possibly the most superb fanfic story I've ever read, at least for Xmen. Plus, on her own website, she has a HOUSE/Xmen crossover that lovingly juxtaposes the twin grumpiness of Dr. Gregory House & Logan -- it's SO much fun!! They have some great misadventures together. A Wolv/Rogue pairing is hinted at but it's only an aside.
Also, Becca has several stories on her own site, loganandmarie.com. "Yellow Brick Road" is my fav. Very complex Logan & all the characters have their own unique voices.

Great chapter! All except the evil cliff hanger of course! I was so excited to see a new chapter this morning that I had to read it even though it made me a little late for work. A girl has to have her priorities, ya know!

Author's Response: I'm working on the next part. It's funny, I didn't set out to make these cliffhangers. The first time I just wanted to get Logan coherent, because I had been promising that for a while. For this one I just wanted to get to a point where the next chapter title would make sense. :-) Since I picked the title of the fic in about two seconds and picked something really literal, now I'm set on all the chapter titles being a noun that sums up the chapter. We'll see if I can keep that going.

Again with the the evil cliffhanger! This time I was actually tempted to pick up and look under my netbook for the rest of this story, because I had hoped you've not ended it right there. But the evil cliffhanger strikes again. BTW, you're doing fine with "this" Logan's voice, love the fact his first clear minded thought of "food" would be beer. More please.
Author's Response: Ha! If you find any good plot points under your netbook, please let me know. :-) I have a vague idea of the road ahead, but it's definitely not as clear in mind as this first part was. Glad you like Logan's "voice."
