Author's Response: I love "Anything". It is probably the best example of a dark, hear broken, SOB!Logan that you can still see the good in. And it is HOT as HELL!

I'm finding this to be a really interesting and unusual story character-wise, and for that alone I'm quite enjoying it.
Cause on the one hand, domineering Logan can be all kinds of *GUH* hotness, but on the other hand, he's been kind of an asshole and he's making it really quite difficult to actually like him all that much, let alone even remotely condone what he's doing.
That last point I think is easier to get past when Rogue's more overtly complicit in the affair, which sort of seems to be suggested in patches though it doesn't always feel like it's present the way through.
Dark and domineering Logan with a sort of ...'unwillingly-willing' Rogue turned-on despite herself I have no trouble seeing, it's just the bits that seem to touch at the boarder of unhappier non-con I have a harder time reconciling with the way I'm used to seeing Logan's character. (Or at least I have a harder time seeing it without a serious jab from his conscience, anyway.) So I'm interested to see how that plays out, because I do kind of slightly want to shake him and tell him to crawl out of whataver cave he's living in at the moment. (That shouldn't be taken as a criticism by the way, it's very emotive writing because of it.)
You've also got lots of scope for interesting shifts in the balance of power as you go along too, if you decide to follow that route. Overall though, I'm looking forward to finding out where you're ultimately headed with this story.
Or indeed if they'll ever even get as far as the mansion before they shag themselves into a sated coma first. *g*
Author's Response: Marie has, essentially, agreed to something she didn't understand the depths of in 'Anything'. By saying she would do anything, she gave up all power to Logan. He took it. Part of what we will see in this story is how they work themselves back from Logan taking everything from her. I am going to work on some of the harder bits. He didn't force her into anything she hadn't already agreed to, he is just holding her to it.

Wow…intense. I tend to avoid fics that are purely just dark/and or angsty..figure there’s enough stress LOL…so, I wasn’t sure about this..but seeing the shipper part, decided to go ahead..and am glad I did...powerful stuff.
I don’t think I’ve read a Logan quite so dominating before, usually it’s Feral!Logan or Wolverine who shows that trait…so it’s really interesting to see it’s Logan who’s made a conscious decision to be like that..sounds like Jean’s messed him up pretty bad..if he’s willing to override his conscience and rise above the “animal” that in the past he’s wanted to distance himself from. That said, underneath all that, the guy who Marie instinctively trusts is still there..there are glimpses which show through…as well as inklings that Marie will breach his defenses (think she’s already kinda started to).
-As for Marie…that core of strength is still there..I think she’ll be a handful and he won’t know what him ;)
Thanks for sharing this great story..there’s a complexity to the characters which make them interesting in addition to all the hotness...since you mentioned it’ll deal with them at the mansion…can’t wait to see how everyone will react to these two *ahem* lovebirds.
Author's Response: Logan's got a lot going on in his head. Jean has actually broken him more than he realizes. You will start to see parts of that in chapter 3. He is, underneath it all the guy, that Marie can instinctively trust and to some extent she already does or she would have blotted sometime in the night. They both have an interesting journey ahead. I hope you like it.

Very hot. Has some spelling and grammar errors that need tending, and you should add the archive's Rape/Non-Con warning to the story for the obvious reasons, but otherwise highly enjoyable. And, because it bears repeating, HOT!
Author's Response: I will go back and fix the spelling and grammar, thanks for the heads up about those. I think I need to maybe tone down bits of chapter 2 if you really see it has rape/non con. The morning after wasn't really any different than the night before in "Anything" or the first chapter of this. I would love to understand which bits pushed you to see this chapter as non con. I had no intention of trying to make this chapter be non con. Specific things that squeaked you would be helpful.

Sounds like a plan malfactor, but, alas, I do believe that "house policy" is that you MUST have permission from the original author to 'play in their sandbox', as it were. Some may be willing to let others have a crack at thier writer's block. But neither would I blame folks for not wanting to allow their creations to become public commodities.
