The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
I know you aren't around much anymore and I don't know that I have ever reviewed this, but I just wanted to take a moment and tell you this is one of my favorites, it has the right amount of sorrow but with a happy ending at the end.
Author's Response: I\'m around, I\'m just very quiet. ;) Thank you!
I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this piece. You handle the return of her mutation and the post X3 environments very well. The relationship you build between the two of them is deep and complex. Great work!
I know you wrote this quite awhile ago but I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this story. This has to be the most exceptional Logan/Marie with children story I have read. All of the your OCs are developed and fit right in with the Xmen. Really really wonderful.
I have just read this entire story and I love it. This has a great storyline and wonderful characters. Please update soon.
I love this chapter but what scares me is that it is basically a happy ending and you have more to come. I can't wait to read the entire thing beginning to end.
Author's Response: Hee! Don\'t worry, I don\'t have anymore evil tricks up my sleeve, I promise. I would have left the story there, but I figured I should give L&M a little sunshine after all I\'ve put them through. So the next chappy will definitely be a happy one. :)
I read this from beginning to end today, its very good. Very very good. The characters are true to themselves and the plot works and works well. Very nice and I would highly recommend it.
Author's Response: Thank you, I\'m glad you enjoyed it
Did you ever write the rest of these? I would really love to see Marie's perspective both now and then. I would imagine she is a little (read a lot) pissed at Logan for leaving her behind.
I just read this tonight, I was going through some old wrbeta digests and found your post about this story. It is fabulous!!! I followed the link from yahoo so I didn't know if I was getting angst or romance or what but it really is beautiful. Thank you.
I am really loving the way you have put this together and am looking forward to the next updates.
I like the concept. You really need a beta, you are skipping tenses in a few places, which makes it difficult to read. If you would like send me the entire thing and I will be happy to beta.
Author's Response: That\'d be great! But how do I send you it? I\'m really new to this stuff still.....
I tried to responding using your email address but it bounced. I will be happy to beta send it to alesiaglfyn@juno.com
Author's Response: alright, I\'ll send it over one way or another.
I can't decided who is going to be more pissed about the Professor's timing - Scott or Logan. Heck, I am pissed at the Professor's timing, why would he choose to tell her something like this when her main support isn't there with her? He had to know she was going to go. I would be willing to have you break POV just for one chapter to see the fight the three of them are going to have. Logan won't necessarily have faith that she didn't get scared of the relationship but Scott will, Scott will know it had to be something else.
I just wanted to let you know I have read this entire thing start to finished and I really like what you have done. I really hope the muse gets better and you are able to finish it. You obviously have an end point, since the entire thing is a flash back. It is too good to go unfinished.
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m really glad you like it so far. And don\'t worry, I have no problems with the muse on this one (can\'t seem to shut them up actually *lol*!) - my computer broke (again!) so I\'m a bit behind on posting. I am working on that next chapter though - it definitely won\'t go unfinished!
This is really good. I will be happy to beta for you. Just send it to alesiaglfyn@juno.com
Author's Response: Thank you so much for being the first reviewer to my first story. I\'ll definitely send the next chapter your way. :D
So I have been reading this entire story trying to understand why Marie would have cheated on Logan, now I know. I hope the bitch gets what she deserves and you can somehow give us a happy ending.
I love it, keep going. I have no idea what's up with Marie, but I wanna know NOW!!!!!!!
Author's Response: Now, now? hmmm I will see what I can do
I think I love Wanda. Someone had to jerk a knot in Rogue's ass, I mean attitude. I still love the either thing and check for updates waaayyyy too often. :P
Is there a little Logan? I think I would about die if it was a little John.
I like that Laura is an adult, I had guessed we were headed to Logan offspring, but I really like the way you did this. I also am really enjoying finding a new chapter waiting in the mornings.
I love it, the entire concept. I love it.
Author's Response: thanks
This story KICKS ASS!!! I have just read it from the beginning and I think it is the best thing you have ever written. I love your Rogue and how strong but broken she is, and the peace that Logan has because of what she did for him is just perfect. I like that Hank and Logan drink together and that Hank is independent enough to not be Xavier's toadie (like he is so often). Please update soon.
Oh, quick correction/suggestion, in the Logan/Emma conversation in chapter 5, at the very end you have a sentence that starts with Carol, that I believe should start with Emma.
Author's Response: Thank you, it\'s good to know that I\'m improving, and I\'m glad that I have achieved \'KICK ASS\' status. I admit that my ideas surrounding Hank\'s suspicious non-toadie character (as well as, incidentally, Fenris Corp. and Rogue\'s contracts with Remy to get her skin under control) were shamelessly pilfered from the Ultimate X-men comics and bent mercilessly to my whim. Logan being at peace was essentially my way of thumbing my nose at a few archetypal \'Logan has issues\' versions of his character––and the same goes for Rogue\'s general badassery and \'no drama\' variety of quiet broken-ness (more war-torn than actually broken, as broken suggests fragility, of which my Rogue has little). Basically, my inspiration comes from aggression: when I get irritated with not seeing certain qualities of character or story-arc that I like, I get increasinly frustrated and finally just decide to write my own damn characterizations and stories. This is the result.\r\n\r\n
And thank you for the correction; I hadn\'t noticed it. Self-editing is not my friend.
Thanks for the little update. It is fun to see inside Rogue's head and know that it is only Rogue and not someone else influencing her.
Author's Response: You\'re quite welcome, and thank *you* for review number 42, which has a special place in my heart because I am a nerd who quietly worships the writings of Douglas Adams.
still love love love it, the rubicon line is classic.
I read this from the beginning again on my way home from FLA this weekend. I am really enjoying it, that last chapter is incredibly hot and I love how their relationship is developing slowly, they are learning to trust each other and get comfortable with the idea of sharing themselves with someone. It will be interesting if they decide to really help Hank long term, if they can really stand it.
I love it! you HAVE TO do the next two days. Come on you just HAVE TO.
Author's Response: It really was only a oneshot - sorry :o( Doesn\'t mean you\'ve seen the last of my wet!Logan muse though. He\'ll be back *g*
I love this chapter. I am really glad you are back at this one again. Forge is a perfect Logan Foil.
