The sadness of a man that made one too many bad choices, the fury of a woman manipulated by the ones she thought her family, the worry of the ones left behind. Oh, I can feel the taste of vengeance!

Another piece to the puzzle.
Paranoia is a powerful weapon, but they could fall victims of it too. But it seems as Marie is keeping both her eyes wide open. Good thing they can support each other.

Xavier counts of everything and everyone falling into place and being dutyful and blind to what's going on. Wonder who else has been noticing?

As I said before. This is like watching the door to Hades fall open and all the demons run out into the night.

This is the darkest hour for them. It's time to decide what they are and what are they ready to do.

It's sad to see all the treason and broken hurts as a result of it. But also the ignite of either hope to make it better or fury to battle against it.

Aw, this was so touching. That whole last scene. The exchange of honest handshakes and how they are able to hope. *pets them*

Also was it a way for destiny to tell Jubes she would be seeing Logan soon or does Logan have cousins around? ;D

Author's Response: There ARE decent people out there you just have to look harder for them. Logan\'s luck had to change sometime didn\'t it? Not a cousin, something a little more familial....after all he *has* crossed the damn continent more times than the railway lines and he *isn\'t* a monk. LOL.

Author's Response: I\'m glad you enjoy. I\'m just waiting for hubby dearest to come home and bring me some more painkillers. I think my head and back are planning a some sort of strike. My brain left the building somewhere around three o\'clock last night, so I think it\'s only appropriate that the rest of me stops for a while. :) Ten points for spotting Roddy and his chick! ;) Haven\'t really seen that movie, but felt like the thing to do.

Now, this it's a diferent way to see their bond. I feel a little sad for Logan, he had obviously a very traumatic moment up on the statue and still has a hard time coming to terms with it.

I do enjoy your stories, but I think I mentioned that earlier. ;)

I finally catched up on this series. I got very excited by the plot line of this story. It has so much potential and many possible outcomes.

Yet, I grew confused when I finally noticed that this series are post X3. It seemed to me that this was a canon, where the characterisations would fit prefectly. As it is, I can see an emotional gap in the actions of the characters. There's sorrow, hurt, rage, trauma missing.

As a whole this was a exciting reading and applaud your plot line.

Author's Response: SOmeone else commented on the lack of traumatic emotion in the wake of the entire Phoenix saga. I tried to comment on that yesterday, but the archive froze on me. argh? I played on the sense of survival and progress that I thought the closing scenes of X3 brought forth, particularly the long shot of Logan standing on the terrace, basking in the sun of a new day as Storm greeted children returning for a new school year. And, the rest of the story is going to get rather intense and dark, and I specifically did NOT want it bogged down by a load of Jean angst. I abhor heavy, dark stories that go on and on and depress the reader, so the focus of this story lies in other directions.
