The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
W/R-L/M fanfic addict! Love to read it, write it only when the muses/bunnies get too strong or too rabid. Would love to beta; am a self proclaimed grammar guardian! Pet peeve is getting sidetracked in a great story by poor grammar or too many typos.
Wife, Mom, author, motorcycle mama, wine maker, Titanic buff, genealogist, witch; wrap it all up - you get, me!
I don't like the idea of Logan as as addict, even tho you specifically say he is not. But I can certainly understand the fight, given his possible age, against the feeling of having no control. So many long years, even if he looks only 30-ish, of fights and battles and events that would probably kill a mere mortal, yet he is impervious. And she is the only one that could possibly understand. It fits, it's sad, but it fits.
"I think he's finally chosen a side,"
Big emotions and a lot punch in a short sentence, Victoria. Nice job.
*Heavy Sigh* beautiful.....just beautiful!!!
Oh, SM, this last chapter really wasn't necessary. Such a powerful story should have, at the least, a benign ending, something the reader can fill in for themselves; at best - a happily ever after would be in order. Why'd ya have ta do this?
Author's Response: It was necessary, for me. Ask September, I\'m an angsty type woman, and yes, I know this goes beyond angst.
This way, at least, they get to be together.
*soft chuckle sneaks through sniffs and tear fuzzed eyes*
I somehow knew it was a for legged friend. Would that all could experience the unconditional love and loyalty of a fine dog. Loved it, SM, just loved it!!
Author's Response: that was for my best buddy. Who never minded my Wolverine obsession. hey, he got popcorn out of it when I watched the movies.
We all have scars, inside and out. Logan and Marie are the literary examples of the extremes. Many times we may wish our scars away, the inner as well as the outer ones. But they prove we have lived, have experienced and, more importantly, have SURVIVED. Hers are visible, his are not, but they each know full well of the others', and having someone that understands is something irreplaceable in this world.
Strange how that seems to be the reaction..... very nicely done, VP!!
PHEW!! I was so afraid it was going to left and downhill, first, with him wanting to know WHO got her pregnant before all the shippery goodness took over!! So glad you didn't go that route!! Beautifully done!
Thick skulled men tend to have this sort of stuff happen to them!
Ah, yes...once again the fool-hardy, jump-to-conclusion assumptions of a thick-headed male lead us to yet another great fic! One that could never have come into being if men weren't so damn stupid!!!
Uh...I know Marie is his and all that.... but, er.... um.....is it still possible to just get an appointment at Chez Logan???
Oh my god....to have it come to that....that's a lot of heartbreat right there. *sigh*
Beautiful, my dear, simply beautiful.
Definitely a better and IMHO more accurate depiction of Marie's eventual journey to her true self. I've always thought, too, that the memories from Logan's past should have an impact on her life. The mental picture of her laying on a cold impersonal gurney, looking into the eyes of bigoted/racist impersonal Homo Sapiens is very strong, very emotionally wrenching. You pegged it dear, hit the nail right on the head!! Brava!
dsw - I'm not entirely liking this Logan right now; I hope things improve down the line.
Whooooo! Ooooookayyyy....wow! Glad to have Logan get his sh*t straightened out. Didn't expect the full 180 turn that was chapter 10, though. But wow!
(kneeling down and bending at the waist, arms extended over head) ALL HAIL DEEP_SALT_WATER!! SMUT QUEEN OF THE UNIVERSE!!
Not at all into the comics, but her laying her head on his shoulder at the end certainly sounds like a good direction to be goin'!!!
I think we ALL pretty much like the way he thinks!!! ;)
Oh, OH, OH!! Yes!! Sequels are a must here!!! We simply have to be a fly on the wall for when Logie pops in for a little visit to the mansion!! We all want to hear the Prof, and especially Jean, explain themselves!!
Yes, YES, YES!! Sequel, SEQUEL, SEQUEL!!
Beautiful..simply beautiful.
Yes, what ara said, some fics are just in a category of their own.
That was AMAZING!!! Hawt, sexy, and even a tinge of sweetness at the end. Wonderful job, Jo, as always!
If I had a nickel for every dang pencil I "lost" in the bun on top of my head.....but then, I'd trade all the money for a kiss like that!!
Very nice, very sweet. Certainly a side of Mystique we never see, but a pleasant change none-the-less. A beta would have helped with grammar and spelling issues, but still a wonderful story, well told.
Reno?? Rabid boar? OMG...it's so hard to type when trying to see thru tear filled eyes!! Gawd...so funny!! Great job!
AAAAAAAaaaaarrrrrrrgggghhh!!! Gotta have an update, SM!! That 'it was too good to last' cliffy was just plain mean and nasty!! C'mon already, explain Al and get Marie up there and get with the shippery goodness!!! NOW!! dang it!
Author's Response: *laughs* I promised someone else I\'d work this weekend on it (Before \"Thinking of you\" Sank its teeth into me) I promise it\'s coming soon! Thnks for the encouragement!
Ok, SM, just what the heck are you up to??? You skated real fast through the absorption of Carol; and the jealous spike we all knew was coming when Marie saw Al and Logan together. Now you got one big happy family traipsing back to NY and Marie contemplating the joys of match making. I’ve got a real bad feeling in the pit of my stomach, and it’s not last night’s left over BBQ!!!
Author's Response: I skated through the absorption of carol because I\'m not sure how deep to go into it.
Marie\'s making match making plans to keep Al AWAY from Logan, silly.
I\'m trying to figure out how to make the story something that still has our favorite pair, etc.
