I don't like the idea of Logan as as addict, even tho you specifically say he is not. But I can certainly understand the fight, given his possible age, against the feeling of having no control. So many long years, even if he looks only 30-ish, of fights and battles and events that would probably kill a mere mortal, yet he is impervious. And she is the only one that could possibly understand.  It fits, it's sad, but it fits.

Definitely a better and IMHO more accurate depiction of Marie's eventual journey to her true self. I've always thought, too, that the memories from Logan's past should have an impact on her life. The mental picture of her laying on a cold impersonal gurney, looking into the eyes of bigoted/racist impersonal Homo Sapiens is very strong, very emotionally wrenching. You pegged it dear, hit the nail right on the head!! Brava!

Author's Response: I skated through the absorption of carol because I\'m not sure how deep to go into it. Marie\'s making match making plans to keep Al AWAY from Logan, silly. I\'m trying to figure out how to make the story something that still has our favorite pair, etc.
