The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
I'm a bit ashamed that I've had this story as a favorite but haven't reviewed it. I'm also surprised that this great series has gone on for so long without ANY reviews. So I decided to end the drought and put my two cent in. As I said earlier, it's one of my favorites because it shows a more independent Rogue. Though I enjoy a good SweetieRogue story, even a DependentMarie, I love that this Rogue is will to take charge of her life and not wait for Logan to come and rescue her.
Cage-fighting Rogue! What a HUGE surprise! I would never have imagined her doing that, but in this story it seems to fit. I was kinda thrown off by her getting super-strength and flight from someone other that Ms. Marvel, but it's another sign of the author doing the unexpected. I also love that Rogue is able to gain control of her skin by herself. Just another sign that she's not going to wait on anyone to rescue her; no sir, she can do that all by herself. Awesome story!
Wolverine and Rogue fighting in a cage? Hot, hot, hot! I love that when he carries her out of the bar, she yells at him for ending best night of fighting in her life! The sex is nice, too!
Piano? Violin? A girl of many talents, our Rogue is? Well, it was nice to see Jean redeem herself, though.
It was GREAT to see Scooter get his but kicked, and by a GIRL, no less! Great end to a great series. But I wished the author had delved into Rogue helping Logan recover his memories. Maybe it could be used in a follow-up story or sequel (hint, hint).
You know, I'll never understand why the movie studios don't surf fan fiction sites for ideas because I think there's a helluva lot more interesting stories written by great authors here than in the comics!
I said all that to tell you that you have written a powerful story worth millions of dollars instead of just a few lines in a review as an award. Bravo!
You fiend! I was SO sure that they were talking about sex that when I read that line about instructions in German, I had to go back to the beginning to re-read the story. When I did I couldn't stop laughing! Good one!
My first reaction when I read the first few paragraphs were "ROGUE is DEAD and JEAN is ALIVE?! WTF!?" and to promptly stop reading. But for some reason I continued to read and now I'm glad I did! Wonderful story! X2 would have been so much better if it had ended like this! I mean, who cares if Jean dies?
"No, no, no, no, NO! This wasn't happening. This was just a very bad nightmare - kind of like the one where the doctors cut him open...just many times worse. Many, many times worse, Logan decided."
Truer words have not been said in any Rogan I've ever read! Watching anything with that stupid Pikachu in it is MUCH worse than ANYTHING devised by a sadistic military doctor! I FEEL Logan's pain!
Wow! that was DEEP! Sad but powerful.
This is quite cute! It MUST be love if Marie was willing to take care of him with rabies! But I thought his mutation made him immune to diseases?
I love that he's FINALLY seeing that what he felt for Jean wasn't the be-all-end-all love he thought. Maybe now that he's gotten his head out of the sand, he'll make his move toward his REAL soul-mate. Great chapter.
P.S. I'll admit it; I have NO idea who Deirdre is.
You know, I was kind of worried that it would have all been a dream and Logan would wake up and Marie would be dead again. Thankfully it wasn't.
Jean?
Jean who?
I love it! One of the BEST lines written in Roganland EVER!
Oh, the story was great, too!
This is brilliant!!! I have seen SOOOO many fics where Rogue constantly compares herself with Jean and feels she falls short. Its nice to see a fic where the tables are turned and JEAN does the comparison and feels SHE comes up short.
That was very sweet. I liked it!
Great job! This story is wonderful because it's true that out of suffering can come great joy.
That was beautiful and smoking hot! Loved it!
Brilliant! Stupendous! Excellent! Amazing! This is one of the BEST Rogans I've ever read! This is a tremendous work that any author would be proud of! Instant favorite!
This story is so horrible, and heart-wrenching, and sad, and beautiful, and bittersweet and...well, you get the idea. Wonderful story!
Oh, God! That... that was just so... visceral...so disturbing...so BRILLIANT! It was an intense ride that gives a rather unique reason why Logan can't remember his past. At least it's one I've never seen, and it's infinitely better than the one given in the movie! And at the end it gives us hope for Logan and Marie's future. Great job!
That was strange and weird and REALLY good! I usually like Rogans because of the whole W/R relationship aspect. But I must say that the most interesting thing in this story was the creature! What was it? A really freaky mutant? A lab experiment gone horribly wrong? An alien? I hope that one day you decide to revisit this story to answer that question; plus I like to see if Rogue was healed after their encounter and if they are romantically involved.
All-in-all, if you wanted to create a unique Rogan, all I can say is "job well done!"
Ohhh, that was heartbreakingly lovely! I felt so bad for Rogue; I hoped that somehow Logan could and would make it better. I guess I'm as clueless as Marie cause I didn't realize he was leaving them for her either. Very sweet story!
That was...SOMETHING!!! I will NEVER look at a box of Jell-O the same ever again!
That was a lovely story! I'm not usually into Angst, but I'm glad that I gave it a try.
P.S. I don't miss Jean in this story, I don't really like her much either.
