What a wonderful update. Something I've always enjoyed is a plausible explanation as to why Rogue would discover, be given, or master the control of her mutation. The yearning for Logan to want her to use it and the likelihood that the Professor would aid Rogue in taming her mutation is quite well done. Keep up the great work!

Another great chapter! I was not expecting Marie to turn into Logan, so that was a nice surprise. Nor was I expecting Logan to arrive so quickly. She's in trouble now. Looking forward to the next chapter!

This really was a lovely chapter. Poor Scott. You let us see him in a realistic light, one most people would experience had they been through the same situation, and didn't pretty it up. I like that. And Rogue gets better slowly, as she should. Very well done. Keep up the great work.

Now THAT was an update!! Awesome chapter! I love how you write Scott. I know I've said it before, but it just bears repeating again and again. He's so broken, but he's still Scott. Rogue needed someone to slap her upside the head and the fearless leader managed quite nicely. I'm really looking forward to her finally talking to Logan.

Wonderful story. Short, sweet, to the point, with just enough background to let everyone know what's going on. I really liked how you built up to mentioning Carol. It gave me a certain sense of anticipation, wondering what had given Rogue such confidence. I really enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing.

Another great chapter! My favorite part is definitely the moment Rogue thinks she's about to be captured and her eyes flash green. Logan might be a coarse old bastard, but he's got his soft spots when he recognizes them. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Have I expressed yet how much I love this story? If not, please, allow me to elaborate. I love how well you write these two wonderful characters. There's no need to write their dialogue phonetically, which I absolutely adore, because we already know they have accents. It's just two people, being smartasses, and we the reader enjoying the repartee. Another thing I love is that you've given Rogue Carol's powers, but she isn't close to having them mastered just yet.
You've got a great story here that keeps getting better. I'm really, really looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks for updating so regularly.

There\'s a lot more to go, so I\'ll do my best to get updating regularly. And I have a beta now, so hopefully she\'ll keep me on track as far as time and characterization goes, haha.
Ha! Logan's such an ass. It makes me laugh. Another chapter full of humor and ways for these two to get in trouble. I guess my only quibble with this chapter is your saying Marie served two tours in Afghanistan, but then you say she knows where contraband can be found in the Iraqi city of Fallujah. Please feel free to slap me if you meant for Marie to have gleaned that information from Carol or someone else. Again, though, wonderful chapter. I continue to look forward to your next chapter!

Actually, what happened was originally I had \"her\" (Carol) serving two in Afghanistan and then one Iraq, but I figured (a) Carol\'s pretty young and (b) this is a world without Bush so there probably wouldn\'t have been an Iraq war, heh. But then I didn\'t change the city! Thanks so much for pointing that out! Will fix.
Another great start to what I know will be a wonderful story. It's quite possible this is my favorite chapter of the series thus far. I was interested to see how Marie was going to handle holding herself back from touching Logan, and you've done a masterful job portraying the difficulty both parties have in restraining themselves. Love it. Looking forward to the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you! Rogue has a lot of restraint in X2, telling Bobby that she doesn\'t want to hurt him, etc., so I definitely wanted to show sort of the psychosis behind that fear. But, since it\'s Logan we\'re talking about here, she\'s more willing to push the envelope. *g* More soon!
So close to the original, but so much better. Your Rogue is wonderful. She's got the attitude she always should have had with the rest of the world. I also like the underlying disapproval you have going on with the "grownups" and the dynamic duo. Thanks for the update!

Fantastic fight scene. Your depiction of Rogue's invulnerability was my favorite part. Yes, she's invulnerable, but there are limits. Great stuff. Looking forward to the next chapter!
