Wheels of Misfortune.
Love. It.
Wolverines never run away. They deal, gut, and then take off.
Have I told you yet that your story just makes my day? If only you could hear my laughter from where you are - much better than this boring review from me! :)
Author's Response: Wheels of Misfortune was my favorite! Not a boring review...knowing that there is someone out there who\'s laughing at my particular brand of humor makes me happy!
***Drops coffee mug*** Talk about leaving things hanging...
:)
Good job! :)
Author's Response: hopefully not hanging for too long :D \r\n\r\nThanks!
APPLAUSE - APPLAUSE
Yummy smuttiness and grin-making funniness, all wrapped up into one hell of a hilarious, sexy story. Loved it! :)
OOOOoooo.
Like it so far. :)
I was totally immersed in the world you created - such fantastic imagery - and you had my heart pumping right along with Stray when she encountered the wolves. I can see who they are - man, you are just a wizard. I don't want you to get too distracted from F&R, but I really want you to update this one fast. :)
Oh my.
You are weaving such a beautiful story. I'm just stunned actually with the visuals here.
Utterly perfect. I have never wanted to be a cigarette more in my life - lol!
And yet, you continue to maintain the beautiful tapestry here with this chapter. I am so happy you are popping these out so quickly. You are a master.
What Jaq said.
You are on fire with this - you must be. I'm going to run out of things to say about your writing, your imagination, your incredible talent...everything. Red-gold strand of hair? Man, that is just so...so...perfect. I could feel the cold, the night, the TIGHTNESS of the damn thing!
Then there's lines like this that open the door of the world you've created and give me a front row seat:
...the trees spider-boned with winter, the snow falling over her hair like damp, wet kisses against her skin...
Now, I shall go read it again. :)
So many things, so many nuances revealed here so expertly by you, I am just overwhelmed!
I can barely function, waiting for the next installment of this beautifully crafted story.
The terror of everyone - the bravery of Ororo (I wish she hadn't hurt him, though I understand she had no choice) and the woman scorned in your witchy Mistress Gold.
How much fun is this?!
“And blood?” The eyes moved nearer from the shadows. “You take no fright at the notion of being decked in that too?”
Scary and yet so freakin' sexy. Little girl, little girl, the time to flee is right now. But then again, maybe that warning applies to Logan, hmm? Love. This. I am such a sucker for fairy tales, especially dark interpretations of them. This is so wonderful, seriously.
Another fantastic snippet of the world you've created, the snow, the wind, the landscape:
Branches a thick lattice overhead, roots snaking and treacherous underfoot.
And the connection between the two on a physical level is just ramping up:
The need to have it filled with a man’s moan or a wolf’s howl too intoxicating to resist.
Wow. Words to you are like shades of paint on an artist's tablet. I love your decription of Kurt and I think he would too - Errol Flynn incarnate!
Yet again, you amaze. :)
Another fantastic installment!
...the loss of his nearness tugging at her insides as if something precious were spilling out of her- Wow. Can't get a more emptier feeling than that.
"You think the stench of what you want from me is strong enough to protect you from what I am?” What a bastard thing to say and yet so thrillingly sexy. I could just HEAR Logan's voice there...
“There, there,” she murmured, “Poor beast, sweet beast. Don’t be angry my darling, don’t be sad, I’ll not leave you alone in the snow…”
So beautiful. How could he not fall in love with her? So magical. :)
:(
Now this chapter made me all kinds of sad. Poor, poor Ororo. You brought in T'Challa (the first time I have ever read it in fanfic, Roganwise) and the comic-fan in me just about melted in contentment. What a phenomenal job. You still made him so very powerful, despite the outcome, so major kudos to you for that.
I especially like the connection Stray now has with Logan. What an extra-ordinary story you have going here, did I already tell you how addicted I am to it? :)
Bastardy is right:
His voice was harsh. “So you just crawled into a cave with a savage beast of your own volition?”
And there is this:
“You think me an interesting pet fer a rich man’s daughter, you think me a wonder or a marvel perhaps.” He pushed his hips aggressively into hers, the movement feeling like a taunt, an insult. His grip on her was starting to hurt. “I don’t want a woman who’s only taking me because my fur allows her touch,” he hissed. “I don’t want a woman who looks on her own injury as if it were a game. I don’t want a child dressed up in her mother’s clothing, now matter how much she throws herself at me-”
But he still is so heartbreaking in response to her declaring being cursed as well:
Hazel eyes met hers. “But not enough to deserve a monster like me.”
Can you just stop functioning in your real life and just focus on writing? Really. Because that is what you have been created to do. Simple as that. I will feed you, house you as long as you continuously write. K? :)
Keep it going! :)
Author's Response: You better betcha! Good things come to those who wait. LOL!
That was hot...*ahem*
Dman, but those strawberries sound so delicious! (not to mention a certain feral....) Great job. :)
Author's Response: Glad you think so... I hope you like the floor, you better stay down there while you read the next chapter...\r\n\r\nI\'ve got pics if you wanna see \'em. Email me and I\'ll send \'em. There\'s more deliciousness to behold, now go and eat up... Enjoy...\r\n\r\n
THUD.
That was me, falling off my chair.
Steamy stuff, my dear. ;)
Author's Response: Hehehe, did you make sure you had a pillow on the floor or should I send my Logan Muse to kiss and make it better? LOL! \r\n\r\nI\'m glad you liked it and thank you for your review!
So much depth to Logan's history here, you've done a lot of back-story. Great stuff. :)
Author's Response: I had to make it plausible... And there\'s more so read on... Thanks for your review!
Too funny - I love frisky Xavier! Now you have me all worried about Rogue not being able to have kids. :( But you'll make me happy, I'm sure!
Author's Response: Well, today was officially my worst day here at dialysis. Bad news for me, good news for ya\'ll. I will be back tomorrow with 2 more chapters to post.\r\n\r\nAs for children... I won\'t lie, it will be a rough road... But when has anything been easy for Logan and Marie. Even their love and relationship has been work. Thanks for you review!
Very steamy! :)
Author's Response: Good good, I was afraid it might be too boring, LOL!
I wanted to tell you that I really enjoy the scenes with Marie and Logan. Very sweet, but still, very sexy.
Logan is in for shock when he finally gets to meet his family.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I will pass on your comment to the muses... You never know what may come out of them next!\r\n\r\nYeah, I haven\'t told him yet either... Hehe. Thank you for your continued support!
Oh no. Sabretooth? I hope Logan kick his @ss. :)
Author's Response: As the movie title says, THERE WILL BE BLOOD!
Oh wow, this is really fantastic. The time and care you put into the woods and lake, plus Rogue's inner thinking was so good.
I look forward to the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you :). This is my first time writing Rogue, so I\'m glad her thoughts came across well.
Wow.
Talk about exciting and heart-stopping! I was complete lost in this! I am SO looking forward to your next chapter - great work! :)
Author's Response: Hee. You needn\'t look forward very far, seeing as I just posted it :). Glad you\'re enjoying the story!
And yet again, another fantastic chapter. I love how Logan and Rogue interacted with each other - so feral indeed! Is it okay that I was so hoping he was going to tear away at her?!
Okay, I'll calm down now. Scott would have imploded/exploded at the sight, poor proper baby that he is.
After reading that, I think I need some of that alcohol myself so considerately left behind on the bathtub ledge. (I loved that in the last chapter as well!)
Great, great job! :)
Author's Response: Thanks so much. Is it terrible to say you\'re my favorite reviewer? And it\'s not just because you heap on the praise. Really.
