hey, good start. really look forward to reading more... hobbits away, hey!
Author's Response: Glad you\'re liking it! Thanks for reviewing!
hey, i'd been meaning to read this for aaaages and now that i have i must say i'm really enjoying it. the stuff with the emergence of feral rogue earlier was handled really well (not easy that, the giggle factor on that sort of writing is a smile wide but you ably avoided it). i just hope that there's more of this on the way; thanks for a very interesting read. hobbits away, hey! PS did you ever find yourself a beta?
i loved this. it depressed the hell out of me, but i loved it. beautifully written, well done.
hey, i'm really enjoying this; like the idea of slowly piecing her mutation and its effects together, looking forward to more interactions with shaw. have at it, woman! :-P
Author's Response: I\'m so glad you\'re enjoying this! This is the first story I\'ve written where Rogue doesn\'t already know all about her mutation, it\'s quite challenging to have her figuring it out! Thanks so much for your review.
Bravo, as always you have me coming back for more... can't wait to read the next...
Author's Response: So glad you\'re liking it! Thanks so much for reviewing. :-D
hey, consider me in. just interested in the stakes here... loved shaw in x-men first class BYW, can't wait to see what you do to him... hobbits away, hey!
Author's Response: Yay! Glad you\'re on board. Yeah, Shaw is a good villain, isn\'t he? Plus I\'m too lazy to make up my own villains, and I\'ve already run through both Stryker and Magneto...
very, very interesting. more please!
Author's Response: So glad you\'re liking it! More coming up. :-)
i'm loving this story, and i so want to read the next installment. enjoying the tension, the humour and the characterisations (spot on with azazel and emma, BTW) more, i want more!
Author's Response: I\'m so glad you\'re liking it! Thanks so much for reviewing.
as always exciting. know what you mean about reviews being thin on the ground, so here's yours: Bravo!
Author's Response: So glad you liked it! And now I am embarrassed, because I owe you a bunch of reviews for \"Stray.\" I wasn\'t sure that you actually checked them...it sounds stupid when I say it, but I reviewed every chapter of some of your other stories and you never responded or anything so I thought maybe you didn\'t check. I\'ll get right on it!
i like the way you keep moving with this; every time i think "you know, i wonder what's happening with "the rogue," another chapter turns up, which is delightful. liked this, liked the introduction of the x-men and marie's worry about this new side to logan. great fun to read, as well as the back story. oh, and i took your advice and replied to my my reviews: normally i only reply to the ones i get when i'm writing the fic (you get a shout-out at the start of each new chapter) but you're right, it was kind of rude to not reply to them all. and don't worry about your last chapter's note: EVERYONE likes getting reviews. ain't no shame in that girl, as the lovely logan would say... update soon and hobbits away, hey!
Author's Response: Thanks! I got a little hung up on the smut chapter, but now things seem to be rolling along. I\'m glad you liked the introduction to the X-Men. And sorry if my comment about not responding to reviews sounded odd, I know it took me forever to set up alerts and I still sometimes miss it when people respond with new reviews to my complete stories. I\'ll definitely go back and start reviewing \"Stray\" from the beginning -- a great reason to re-read. I am worse about reviewing when I\'m writing my own story because I usually use precious laptop time to write my own stuff and read other stuff on my phone on the train, but I promise I\'ll get to it!
you know, there's a reason we all like logan so much... probably my favourite chapter so far, i always love when marie gets to show her mettle and logan his soft side. really enjoyed it, cheers.
Author's Response: Thanks! I also have a thing for Strong!Marie and Tender!Logan so hopefully things will continue to progress in that direction.
i'm really enjoying this: rogue facing her demons (literally) and kicking some ass. also really looking forward to logan's "i don't know whether to kiss you or deck you," reaction when she wakes up... have at it woman! hobbits away, hey!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for reviewing! I\'m so glad you\'re liking it.
enjoyable as always, looking forward to the next. cheers! hobbits away, hey!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for reviewing!
enjoyable as always. the chapter runs too beautifully, there's nothing extraneous. nicely done :-)
Author's Response: I\'m glad you liked it, and didn\'t find it too wordy. Thanks so much for the review!
sorry for the lack of reviews for the last chapter (loved it BTW), but Hallowe'en always means we're massively busy in work. Like where this is going, and like that rogue's decided to play shaw at his own game. am looking forward to the next
Author's Response: Trying to figure out what business has a Halloween rush...costume store? All-Edgar-Allen-Poe bookstore? I\'ll continue to speculate. Thanks so much for reviewing, I know it\'s much harder to keep up with reviews when you\'re writing, so as long as you keep the chapters of \"Stray\" coming you have my full permission to forgo reviews. ;-)
oooh, nicely done. azazel really is a git, isn't he? can't wait for the next chapter, loved how well this one flowed. the characterisations were spot-on too. and re: your question as to what i do for a living that's busy around hallowe'en: i work in a bar and coffee shop. us irish like to drink of a samhain, y'know ;)
Author's Response: Yes, Azazel is a git, for sure. I wish I had made him suffer a little more in the end, but I didn\'t want it to be distracting. Thanks so much for your reviews!
i do love a happy ending. and this one was totally worth waiting for. thanks for this love, i really enjoyed it. hobbits away, hey!
Author's Response: Aw, so glad you liked it! Thanks so much for your review. Anxiously awaiting more \"Stray\"!
i just wanted to say, i really liked this. i pretty much read the story as you were posting it, and i kept meaning to leave a review. i loved the way you made the relationship real and not idyllic (especially their first encounter, because that's never perfectly choreographed and spectacular. you made marie into a very realistic young woman with realistic insecurities and you managed to do the same with logan while keeping him in character. well done :-)
Author's Response: Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review :). So glad you liked the story. I\'ve been meaning to read yours and September\'s and Jaq\'s work as soon as I\'m finished with \'Feral.\' Yeah, first encounters are always a little awkward. But I really think that\'s part of what makes them so special and sweet, ya know? I do look forward to writing a sequel to this, in which they *ahem* learn to choreograph things a bit more spectacularly ;).
well i'm onboard. and judging by the way logan-in-her-head is talking, i'm not the only one...
Author's Response: Hey, not so sure about Logan, he\'s a bit screwed up, poor darling. Thanks for reviewing!
i've been reading this as it was being posted and i have to say i love it. i wasn't sure whether i'd enjoy the set-up but i was pleasantly surprised (as a waitress for five years however i can tell you that young rogue is gonna have to toughen up with both her customers and her boss). that said, i'm really looking forward to reading the rest of this, and i really like this version of logan and marie. hobbits away, hey!
Author's Response: Pleasantly surprised? That\'s great! I was kind of worried, because I\'m neither a waitress nor a stripper, but I tried to make the characterization as realistic as possible. Still, I was worried anyone who has worked in one of those two professions might read this and be like \'WTF stupid writer has no clue what she\'s talking about\' haha. Thanks for the feedback, and let me know if I screw anything up ;P
have to say, have been reading this from the beginning and am really enjoying it. looking forward to the next... hobbits away, hey!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. Glad you\'re enjoying the story, as I always enjoy yours!
ha! i'm not usually blood-thirsty but that git had it coming. still loving this story, looking forward to the next chapter(s). hobbits away, hey!
Author's Response: Yep, if anyone deserves eternal punishment at the hands of a claw-wielding mutant, it\'s creeps like Jose ;P. Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoy the rest of the story
sorry this is late, meant to review earlier. really enjoying this, hope to read more soon.
our girl's about to do something foolish, isn't she? (grins) still enjoying this... hobbits away, hey!
Author's Response: Always! I try not to make the characters do anything hopelessly stupid, I hope, but as for...impulsive? reckless? short-sighted? self-defeating? Bring it on!
colour me intrigued... and do i sense a cameo by my two favourite logan's angels in the offing? i look forward to reading the rest. hobbits away, hey!
Author's Response: No idea where the story is going after chapter 6, but you pretty much know Jubes and Kitty are going to play a larger role than they usually do in my fics. Thanks so much for reviewing!
