As much as I'm anticipating getting back to Rogue or Logan I do love this little aside from the Prof. Very rarely have I come across something from his POV that hits the mark. This clearly shows how introspective X is & I think applying your Shakespearean fixation adds to his character as well. For some reason I'm a sucker for a writer who also makes X acknowledges his own frailties despite his genius & telepathy.
Grade? A for Awesome :)

WHHATTTT??!!! Okay, I will be the first person to admit that I'm really quite painfully slow on the uptake. So this came out of left field for me, going about 90mph, hit me smack dab in the middle of the face & even knocked some of my teeth out.
I really had to go re-read this chapter & a few back, others' reviews & then re-read this chapter yet AGAIN to get my brain to catch up. Hot damn! Make Logan come back! Fix things! Pleeease! I'm not above a little begging!

I am too invested in this story. Could you do me a favor & set up a support group for your readers? Especially if this isn't going to have a happy ending.
Will Logan get there in time? can they save her? Will she warm to the idea of being saved? You're up there w/ the writers of my favorite show "Lost" when it comes to keeping me on the edge of my seat!
Of course I should be nice & actually review. This chapter, without being verbose and overdone was written with such clear emotion. It wasn't even completely in Logan's POV to feel his persona & what the paintings evoked. *sigh*...can I steal you're writing skills for a day?

Ahh & all is right in the fanfic world...well, not entirely, but we're getting there right? Guys? *crickets*
I heart me some Jubilee & this is a perfect example of why. No trite characterization (re: popping gum, yellow overload, chica this, chica that). What you wrote was necessary & still felt like her. Same with the chapter w/ her & Logan in the bar.
Anyway - loved this. The whole "New Orleans. A warm mountain field. *Your face*." Sigh. I have a sneaking suspicion we're going to be belly crawling through some angst soon w/ this aftermath. Will he stick around this time?

Yay update! I really liked the direction you went in. What I'm having a little trouble understanding is Marie telling the Prof that she wasn't strong enough, that she was hiding something, & " “I thought it was something I had to do by myself.” " ....I'm taking this to mean the pain she was in when Logan left? The anger, feelings of rejection, loneliness. Is this close or am I missing the mark?
Can't wait for "the talk" because these two are in desperate need of one. You spoil us with regular updates :D

Okay, so I think I'm missing something here. I don't think I understand what changed between them in the woods. Are the italics Rogue's thoughts during that time? And the last sentence "I would never have thought that would make me feel safe too." confuses me too. I get that she's confused about her feelings after Jean's revelation about her skin, but then I'm lost. This is one that I'm going to have to go back & re-read & see if I can figure out what went wrong.

Holy crap! How did I almost miss this?! Okay, so I read this chapter. Stepped away & had to try & write you a decent review worthy of this story's finale. I most likely failed, but I will ramble anyway.
Sadly I did not come across a Toby's in NOLA. I did overdose on beignets & every damn time I had them I had naughty thoughts thanks to the previous chapter. I blamed the overwhelming heat for my blush & excessive powdered sugar for my choking/coughing/sputtering that accompanied said thoughts.
I'm sad to see this story end, but what a beautiful and fitting way to do it. I love your take on Logan. It feels genuine without falling into any distracting cliches. And while your Rogue "has a history that would keep six psychiatrists busy for a career" (loved that line), you still showed that she's quite young and even a bit naive ("Is that all?" - again I think I actually blushed at that. No heat to blame it on this time).
I hope your Rogan muse visits you often and soon! I can't wait to see what you come up with next :)
