The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
This is one of my all-time favorite stories. You do a great job of capturing personalities through dialogue, and telling stories through routine encounters. I especially like how Kevin realizes that his friends are potentially dangerous, but thinks of them first as real people and not their mutations. And the story's just darn funny in places, too. :)
I re-read this story everytime I need a laugh, and it always works. :) Thanks for writing such great stuff!
Man, oh man, I STILL love this story. Every time I read it... it's just so good. Great plot and character development, convincing dialogue, vivid descriptions. Rou-- you gotta post some more stuff! I miss your writing.
I've read this series several times, and I always enjoy it. I especially appreciate how Rogue and Logan start to realize that they're already so much better suited for a romantic love relationship than the other relationships they've had. I think you do a great job of describing what I feel to be the best type of love-- the one that gives support, encouragement, strength. The kind that makes you a stronger, more peaceful person. We over-value the firey romance these days and forget that the deepest, longest, most life-giving loves include passion but aren't restricted or even entirely defined by it. Ok, here endeth the monologue. Great job with this series, the characterizations, the situations, the everything.
Just read this for the first time and loved it. Thanks for posting. I particularly like the way you've characterized Logan. All rough edges and a good heart. Sigh.
Yahoo! Thanks for the update! Very cool. I like the idea of the 'upgrade', and look forward to seeing how it all plays out.
Where have you been?!? Nevermind, just don't_go_anywhere! :) At least, not until you've finished this story. Great update! I like Rogue's self-confidence and the ease of her and Logan's relationship, despite the craziness of her 'upgrade'. And what a cliffhanger... ahhh! *Please* keep the updates coming!
I agree-- you could've ended it without the epilogue, but I'm glad you didn't. :o) You have a great narrative style. Thanks for the story! PS- Your story has one of my favorite characterizations of Scott!
Author's Response: *lol* - Scott was one of my favourites to write in this fic. I loved having a snarky outlet - glad you liked him! And the ending :o)
Intriguing... can't wait for more!
I love the title, I love the confrontation with Scott, and darn her darned mutation! Hope this doesn't cause too much trouble... Or at least, not trouble that can't be entertainingly resolved in the course of the story. Yeah! Keep updating! :)
Yeah, an update! Thank you! Geez, Scott-- what a jerk. What's Jubilee see in him? I mean, seriously, what a blind spot. It's nice to have a good-Jean. I like evil-Jean as much as the next fan, but I also like variety. Good writing of Logan's point of view! And please, update soon!
I am so SO glad you've gotten back to this story! I've been looking forward to it for awhile; it got off to a great start and the new additions do not disappoint. Yippee! Keep up the good work!
Ahh... I love love love this story. Keeps me on an emotional rollercoaster: current stop introspection laced with laughter. Thanks for coming back to it (and Gauntlet)! Rogue's showing a lot of maturity in this chapter, being able to objectively consider Jubilee's sentiments without getting caught up in being angry (like I was!). Keep up the good work! This is much more interesting than what I'm *supposed* to be reading right now. :o)
Oh, Jacie! Poor thing. I'll be glad when Mr. Logan puts her heart at ease. (Good to have you back!)
Wahoo! Thanks for the update. Intriguing turn of events-- I'm looking forward to the next installment! Sorry to hear things are tough. I hope things smooth out for you real soon.
Oh my gosh, I love how you finished this chapter. Take that, Logan. Hahahahaha!
Over? Over?!? Ah.... all good things must end, I suppose. Thank you so much for this story, and persevering through everything and still writing it when life got messy.
And now I must see to my baby, who has been patient (or as patient as a baby can be) while I read this last (sniff sniff) chapter.
So... when's the next story? :o)
Yeah, round 2! Been lookin' forward to this. This Logan (seriously rough around the edges, but basically decent) is very convincing to me. I'll be keepin' an eye out for chapter 3. :)
Author's Response: This Logan. I don\'t know what his prob is, he doesn\'t really want to talk to me besides nag nag nag. We\'re working through it though, chap 3 up soon hopefully.
Go, Rogue! Seriously though, what's with the crappy security? The Brotherhood having labor problems? I guess every evil genius has an Achilles heel.
Author's Response: Caught on to the did ya? Remember that. I\'m just saying. Not that I\'m foreshadowing anything. Just remember. :D
Rou? ROU??? Please come back and finish the story! I was really enjoying your Wolverine and Rogue. As we used to say when I was a kid, pretty please with sugar on top, strawberries and marshmallows!
I vote for the speech. Have Scott take the high road. As for the Logan-of-this-story, I say good riddance! Jean can have him. Cheaters deserve each other. Stay strong, Scott! (By the way, I love Rogue's inner dialogue in Chapter 1.)
Author's Response: Scott will mostlikely still be drunk off his ass it just hits my funny bone. I lovethe dialogue as well but \'s not easy to write.
Yeah! Thank you for updating so quickly. I'm really enjoying this story, especially your telling it from multiple perspectives. It gives me an understanding of and sympathy with the characters. In that vein, how about a chapter from Scott's perspective? How did he get so cold? Why is he angry? What's going on in his mind? I love that I get the answers to these kinds of questions about the other characters!
Author's Response: From Scott? Well...hang in there. Something may be coming. Eventually.
I agree with Anami--- I'm liking Jean in this one. While I enjoy a good Jean-as-evil story as much as the next girl, it makes more sense to me that Jean would be a generally thoughtful and caring, if flawed, person. Great job! Keep going!
Ach, the angst! And may I just say, that this is my favorite chapter title so far? A very fitting choice.
Author's Response: Thank you! You\'re the first reviewer to mention the titles; gold star for you. ;) Especially for getting the reference.
Oh man. Please update. Soon. I'm totally caught up in this story. Your Rogue and Wolverine are a lot different than I imagine them, but you've sold me on the characters and I have to know what happens to them. Ack! How am I ever going to concentrate on my work now...
Author's Response: Ack! I will hurry and tell you what happens next. Only then, you\'re just going to want to know what happens after that...aren\'t you? ;) Seriously, thank you so much for the kind words.
