Alternate ending? There's an alternate ending? *sound of rummaging through DVD shelf*
I either missed it or forgot about it. Glad you didn't. As said by your other reviewers, this one was small but mighty. Nice. --Wendie
Sweet Jesus, Mary and Joseph! I'm not surprised that you've only posted one story. Hell, if I'd written this, I would have quit while I was ahead, too. This one, as perfect as it is, would have been enormously difficult to top, although the talent that created this must still be within you somewhere. You might try trotting it out again, just for grins.
I started crying somewhere around the middle of this and was sobbing by the end. We should all be so good at keeping our promises... --Wendie
OK, I'm only gonna tell you once, so listen up, bub -- I love this! --Wendie
Anything this well-written shouldn't languish this long unheralded. Shame on all who read this and couldn't be bothered to render so much as a 'Sad. Very sad.' for your efforts. --Wendie
As last lines go, this one is as good as it gets. Wonderful story. I am so glad that after a five-year hiatus, you posted the companion piece to this--'Learning to Live'. It, too, was worth the wait. --Wendie
"Get your stuff. We'll leave now." No argument, no hesitation, just pure devotion--the total fulfillment of his promise to take care of her, no matter what. Who knew the Wolverine could teach us all such a lesson about love? --Wendie
This story is so hot! In this case, there is definitely something to be said for being 'just friends'... --Wendie
Pretty clever. Nice 'switch' with the snake. --Wendie
Lots of lovely Rogan hotness. Excellent.
'the brain phone' -- hilarious!
--Wendie
I hate to say this, but you failed miserably, at least in this Rogan shipper's opinion, to avoid communicating any romantic connection between these two. Which, by the way, means I liked this, despite your intentions. --Wendie
I dig that 'holding back' had a double meaning here. They gave in on the one and wisely maintained their hold on the other. Very good. --Wendie
I don't think the word 'carnal' has ever applied more aptly to anything in the history of the world than it does to this delicious, decadent story. Mmmmmm! --Wendie
Oh, goodness, I'm so glad my kids slept over at someone else's house last night. Honey, are you awake...? --Wendie
Oh, you crafty girl! Love it. --Wendie
This was very sweet, but still very Logan. Nice job. --Wendie
Love that he actually did apologize. Kind of makes me wanna pick a fight... --Wendie
Glad you finally got your priorities straight, Bub! --Wendie
Add me to the list of the late-but-faithful who want to see this continue. Ct-xfan is so right. I know it's been three years and you're probably not even hanging out on this site anymore, but on the off chance that you are, what would it take to persuade you to finish this? I'm not above begging or bribing. --Wendie
I'm so glad you challenged yourself with this--and succeeded beautifully. This story is the perfect example of what I cannot do. I could never let it end that way. I'd have to have Logan come over and wrap his arms around her and comfort her, maybe even tell her everything is OK...you know, the SWEET stuff. Thanks for resisting the urge. --Wendie
This was too sweet for words. A little sad, of course, for their loneliness, but all in all, a good time, as the saying goes, was had by all. --Wendie
Well, except for the fact that they didn't have grocery carts in the mid-19th century, this was adorable. Seriously, I get that Rogue was just using an example from her own childhood experiences--and it did provide a rather precious picture of a wild-haired, hazel-eyed little tyke with an impish gleam in his eye...But what really mattered was her kiss and her faith in him -- a gift he will never forget. --Wendie
Magneto made light streaks in her hair. The Wolverine makes dark streaks in her soul.
Yet another in the growing list of lines I desperately wish I'd written. But if I couldn't, I so glad you did.
This was as dark and delicious as a pint o' Guinness. Barkeep! Pour me another! --Wendie
Once again, the 'Story of the Moment' feature does itself proud and so did you. This is just amazing. I am constantly amazed at the the variety of insights into Logan and all that he is that appear on this site. No wonder I can't get enough. --Wendie
Frustration never felt so good. --Wendie
I love that she simply doesn't love him and is able to tell him so without all the weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth. Now, I'm as rabid a Rogan fan as anyone here, but this was so beautifully told that I don't mind them not ending up together. Still, I am sad for Logan. He deserves to be happy as much as Jean and Rogue do... --Wendie
