The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
Extraordinary. Simply extraordinary.
--Wendie
Absolutely, without a doubt, the funniest frustration -- and best pay off -- I have ever read. This was maddeningly delicious! Now I'm off to find a pen and paper...I have a shopping list to write...one egg...one candle... --Wendie
"while he waited to die" -- He's not really living anymore, just waiting until he can finally be with her again. Beautiful...and so sad. --Wendie
Well, if he was going to interrupt Rogue and her date, at least he had sense enough to go with a long-range weapon, like a rifle, instead of just going with the old reliable adamatium six pack. If he'd gotten close enough to skewer the boy, Rogue would have dropped him like a stone while he was at it. This is every bit as good as 'Curfew'. I even liked Jean in this, which is all but unheard of for me. --Wendie
There are mental pictures and then there are mental pictures. That last image was clearly the latter. LMAO.
I like how you are using conversations with other characters to move Logan and Marie's relationship along, just giving glimpses, rather than having the two of them hash it all out. That having been said, I sure hope there's a happy ending out there somewhere. --Wendie
At last! It's always so good when Logan finally gets his priorities straight. I also LOVE the idea that she knows they won't always be 'happy', and that love and pain are two sides of the same coin. Good for her. --Wendie
Perfect ending to a great series. --Wendie
Love the last line. Miss Cleo and her phony accent is a stroke of pure genius. Logan laughing that hard is another rare gift. Nicely done. --Wendie
'I'm just guarding the perimeter.' -- That has to rank as one of the best last lines ever written. Period. Great drabble. --Wendie
..."Logan and Marie would have seen, the perfect soul, the perfect body exists, not despite the claws, and not in spite of the skin, but because of it."
I've always thought that this is what made these two perfect for each other -- the fact that they each not only accepted, but embraced each others' 'challenges'...her skin, his feral nature...but to make it work he has to know that she accepts him and vice versa. Amazing how the conversation you didn't write is what makes this story so great... --Wendie
This is EXACTLY what I imagine he would do and think and say in this situation, especially the last two lines. Outstanding. --Wendie
Talk about jam packed with emotion! WOW! Makes me want to just hold the poor man and tell him that eventually she will get control of that skin and he will be with her just like he wants to. Great last line. --Wendie
Did the 'review' feature not work on this site back in 2000? This is very nicely done. It certainly didn't deserve to go 'unnoticed' for almost ten years. --Wendie
Gotta love that 'story of the moment' feature, because without it I'd have missed this perfect little number. This was a delicious treat to kick off my morning. --Wendie
You're right, this is a lovely interlude between these two--which appears to be leading to a lifetime of happiness. Bravo. --Wendie
OK, this is definitely the first G-rated ice cream licking scene I've ever read...fantastic! The urge to use the dreaded 'cute' is very strong. --Wendie
"Delicious" is probably overworked, but if the spoon fits...love Logan choking at her 'balls' comment...wonder what flavor he has in mind? --Wendie
You speak perfect 'cold'. This was great fun. --Wendie
Once again, I find myself so grateful for the 'Story of the Moment' feature that I can hardly speak. This was probably the best depiction of the dichotomy that is Logan that I have read yet.
I choked up on 'You wore the ugly marks that I couldn't.' Geez, that's f-ing brilliant! This is definitely going on my rather short, very selective list of favorites. --Wendie
There are no words...*sob*, *sob*, *sob*... --Wendie
I know you couldn't have known about X3 and its plot back in 2001 when you wrote this powerfully beautiful poem, but the sixth stanza could almost make me believe Logan is mourning Jean instead of Rogue. Kind of eerie, that. --Wendie
Another bullseye. Bang. Zoom. Right to the kisser. --Wendie
How did I miss this one? I thought I had read all the flavors, but I definitely would have remembered this tasty treat and I don't, so I must have missed it. Thank goodness--again--for the 'Story of the Moment' feature. Devil Doll, wherever you are, you are an f-in' genius!
'a letter of thanks to those hippies in Vermont.' HAHAHA! -- Wendie
Author's Response: Did it come up in the Story of the moment? Gosh, this was so long ago. I still LOVE our Wolvie and Marie, but there\'s another canon that is fighting for my heart. (Supernatural)
This is extraordinary. Please allow me to apologize for every person who read this and didn't tell you that. Shame on them. All 500 of the words are fantastic, but the last three -- no, make that the last five paragraphs are some of the best Rogan angst I've ever read. Really. Ever. -- Wendie
Great drabble. I've just recently begun writing 100-word drabbles for another fandom on another site and I know how hard it is to boil a whole scene down to fit within that limit. You pulled it off beautifully. --Wendie
