I’d cry for her, but tears would cheapen the pain I feel for her. Her battered heart, her cursed skin, her stolen innocence haunt my mind as much as my memories haunt her still. My untouchable heart broke as I held her untouchable, limp body. I couldn’t cry. Part of me died with her.
When the object of my lust sacrificed herself, I respected her choice. My lust didn’t call for me to sacrifice myself or try stopping her. Lust calls for tears. They dry, then it’s over.
My love for the rogue calls for me to live for her.
