The sun hit the window and it glistened and sparkled as it shone on Marie’s face. She stirred a little and rolled over to her side expecting to find Logan there but he was nowhere to be found.

I wonder how am I still here
I don’t want to move a thing
It might change my memory
She started to slowly gather her thoughts and remembered the night before.
They had confessed their feelings but Logan had been afraid since she was too young. She tried to convince him that they shouldn’t have to be scared as long as they felt the same way. After a while they made love despite what the consequences could eventually come to.
She was a virgin until that moment. He was now part of her. A part she would never let go.

She told him that she didn’t want to keep their new found relationship a secret but he didn’t care for what she thought.
Marie guessed that he was just out for a ride thinking if what he did was right or wrong but she would wait.

They might wake me from this dream

She stayed at the mansion trailing along waiting for Logan to come home. She didn’t tell Kitty and Jubes about the issue and for once they didn’t bring the topic of her love for Logan up.

They wouldn’t understand anyways. They thought it was gross for her to fall for a man that was so many years older than her.

Nightfall came and Logan still hadn’t shown up. Marie stared out of her bedroom windowsill and told herself that she promised she wouldn’t sleep until he came home.
He just needed some time. That was all. She’d wait. It didn’t matter how long it would take but by his bedside she would be and that’s where she would remain.
