Author's Chapter Notes:
I actually wrote a series of haikus and stuck them together to form one longer poem, because apparently I can think fast but not small. :P
she is all that's good,
everything worth living for
in his shattered world;

moonlight overhead,
dewy grass below his feet,
night breeze in his hair;

sweet smell of lilies,
first crisp bite of an apple,
sharp burn of whiskey;

nothing can compare
to her eyes, her smile, her touch,
her bell-like laughter;

she opens her mouth;
he offers up confession;
she releases him.

she is his saviour,
a blessing when he's been cursed,
absorbs all his sins,

his absolution
when nothing is absolute
to him but vodka.
