1. Wait by perch and creep

So it has turned to this.
You look at her
With eyes I wish would
See.

Would see the waiting
That I place in each footstep.
The careful movement
Of a heart filled with wishes.

I wrench that heart
Into my throat and forget
Whatever small dreams
You once inspired.

How easily I can hate
With the same passion
I once loved.
Yet still, still I wait.
