They died instantly. It didn't happen gradually, it just all of a suddenly combusted, leaving everyone in the class to fall silent and deal with the sugary sweet mess. Scott was glaring at perpetrator. He said coldly, "Never again Logan. Never again am I going to even allow you to be in the Pet Room. What the hell did you even feed the bunnies?! And Rogue. I though you knew better!"

"But Scott. We didn't really mean to feed the bunnies. They just crowded around us, begging for food...." murmured the other perpetrator.

"Hey don't get on the kid's business. It's not her fault. How was I supposed to know that this white acid powder would be mislabeled as sugar!"
