They say...

They say
We are not meant to be.
They say
Your world's too hard for me.

What do they know?

You know me
Like nobody else
You trust me
Like nobody else.

When you look at me
You see Marie.
Not Rogue,
The untouchable X-Man.

When you talk to me
You talk to Marie.
Not Rogue
Who fights and kills with a touch.

They say
I'm a child, and just too young
For you have live
God-knows-how-long

I may look young
But my mind is so old
From the things I've seen
Dark, cruel and cold.

They say
The Wolverine cannot care
They say
I, Rogue, never would dare.

But Logan,
know that one thing is true.
No matter what
I will always love you.
