She Doesn't Dance by Blue Prairie
I was on my way back from a mini-mission for Xavier when I got a craving for a beer. There was a small bar just outside of the city that I had passed by more times that I could remember, so I decided that tonight I'd stop in and give it a try. Since it was a Tuesday night I wasn't expecting too many people to be there, and I was right, but there was one couple out there on the dance floor. You couldn't miss them if you were blind. I knew it was her in a heartbeat.

I had known that they were attracted to each other, but she was my girl. There was never any doubt in my mind about that. He wasn't her type. He had that rough-and-ready bar brawler attitude while she was sweet and sensible. So I sat there and stared. I couldn't help it. I couldn't make myself believe what was right in front of me. This woman with her just barely decent dress and wild hair was all over this guy. I was beginning to feel sick.

Then the bartender walked over to me and smiled. He nodded his head towards the couple and told me how he thinks that those two are so lucky to have found a love like that. He'd seen a lot of different folks through here, but the chemistry between those two had caught his attention. He makes sure that he works every Tuesday night just to see them together. It gives him hope that in a world so full of pain and heartache you can still see a couple so in love.

I didn't know what to say to him. Even I could feel something powerful going on with this couple, but it was also killing me inside. So I ordered another beer and continued to sit in the shadows and watch. After a while they left, still wrapped up in each other.

I stayed for a couple more beers before heading back home. When I got there she was there, sleeping softly in our bed, my sweet, innocent angel. As I stood under the steaming shower I let everything wash away. She's my girl, and she doesn't dance, so I knew it couldn't be.

Note: I'm curious to know which person you pictured in each role…because while I'm a Wolverine/Rogue shipper and wanted to put Bobby or Remy into the "husband" role, I couldn't help thinking that it fit the Scott/Jean/Logan triangle a little better. So I left it up to you.

She Doesn't Dance
By Mark McGuinn, Don Pfrimmer, Shane Decker

She was in the middle of an empty dance floor
Wrapped up in a tall dark stranger's arms
They didn't see me slip in through the shadows
And sit down at the end of the bar
She was kissin' him all over
The way she never kissed me
I knew it was her in a heartbeat
But I knew it couldn't be

She doesn't dance
And she hates dark smoky places
She doesn't own any fancy high heel shoes
Or short sexy dresses
Her hair would be up
The way that I love
Never so down and crazy
Believe me I know my baby
And she doesn't dance

The bartender said, "Can you believe it
Man some guys have all the luck
But in a cold old world so full of pain and heartache
It's good to see somebody so in love"
When they walked out together
I just sat there all alone
I thought God I hate that woman
But I love the one at home

She doesn't dance
And she hates dark smoky places
She doesn't own any fancy high heel shoes
Or short sexy dresses
Her hair would be up
The way that I love
Never so down and crazy
Believe me I know my baby
And she doesn't dance

It's like a bad movie
That's lasted too long
It's all about her
But it has to be wrong

She doesn't dance
And she hates dark smoky places
She doesn't own any fancy high heel shoes
Or short sexy dresses
Her hair would be up
The way that I love
Never so down and crazy
Believe me I know my baby
And she doesn't dance

Believe me she doesn't dance
