Author's Response: The secretary left out some documents for her to read, the things she was supposed to be catching up on seeing as she's supposed to be earning her keep. (an seeing how doing 'wetwork' for Xavier doesn't actually show up on her job description yet....) Her old job was a 'second stringer'someone who backs up the alpha team with information or revelant help. She was the 'go-fer' and tracker of Magneto and cronies. Xavier thought it would be theraputic for her to know where he was.....thing is her paranoia he fostered because of her knowledge of where he was didn't help her either. The archive of the X-Men has a list and copy of every report they file (mission statements and assessments of performance) so in a way she's handed Marie a way to find out what's been happening while she's been away.
