When I first read it, I was so confused but then I re-read it and tears started going done my face! It's SO profound and toughing and sad, yet uplifting. This is a truly stunning bit of writing.

This was lovely. Sad and lovely. I applaud your discipline in sticking to your chose style here. It works beautifully and provides the subtle hints along the way that prepare us for the gravestone--and his final departure--at the end. --Wendie

This has always been one of my all-time favorites. So sad; so tragic; and yet a realistic look at in coping with grief and loss. This is so well-written with its short vignettes of emotionally-charged dialog...the girl...and the ghost...and one damask rose...
