Author's Response: That one actually came in to my mind last night when we were watching TV with my hubby. There was a commercial about some gel that should smooth over wrinkles. Suddenly mu hubby asked if I wanted that stuff. He didn't even mean that I look old, but the goop was kind of pricy, and he wanted to know in advance if I wanted it so that he could arrange the money. At first I was mad. So Marie's reaction was purely me. Of course she knew, and realizes that she's going to die someday, but even I'm not sure what made Logie remind her about that. Growing old and our own death is something we all tend to avoid thinking.
