Why am I not surprised in finding out that leaving James at the Mansion may not have been the best idea! So much for Jean's idea of seeing if she's ready for motherhood! After the trauma of the last chapter, we needed a little comic relief! This is a great story and I can't wait to see what happens next!
P. S. I'm confused about what Sarah said about her boyfriend. She said he left a suicide note but that Logan killed him. Why would he commit suicide?
Author's Response: In Jean's defense, little James is a barely social, feral toddler, which I imagined would be a handful for pretty much anyone... who didn't have insider knowledge on how ferals minds work. Adding caffeine and no sleep to that mix, honestly, that was just mean of me... ;)
Re the boyfriend, I was angling for the 'if I can't have you, no one can' murder-suicide trope. But Logan caught him as he was sneaking into Sarah's house, and took him out before he could complete phase one of his dastardly plan.
I'm glad you're enjoying it so far, there are plenty more twists and turns to go. Enjoy :)

Good Lord! How many kids does Logan have!? At least this one isn't in a lab! Honestly, I expected at bit more drama (not that the story isn't already dramatic enough!) when Calab found out Logan was his father, something along the lines of "Where the hell have you been all my life?!". Though after hearing that lovely little rundown of life in a mutant lab, I guess he may have figured out that Logan may have been a bit too messed up to be much good at fatherhood when he was born. I have to question if I would be so eager to bring home a naked, non-verbal guy I found in the forest, however; if he looked like Hugh Jackman, I might have taken the chance! I just hope no "spooks" show up before he can convince Sarah to let Caleb go to the school! I loved the chapter!

Yay! Logan and Marie are officially a couple!! I'm SO glad he admitted how he felt about her! In too many stories, he's too scared of hurting her, of not being good enough, etc. to admit to loving her, I am glad this Logan is willing to take a chance! I just hope a certain couple won't get their collective panties in a knot when they find out!

It gets a bit slow in places, dark in others, and almost foofy in others, but I hope overall it's good.
