Barely Legal Since 2000
Curiouser and curiouser! Perhaps Logan should have taken that history class offered by Charles after all.
Marie obviously has gone through a different life than the one Logan remembers.
I like that Logan's first instinct after feeling hurts is to go on the attack, and his temper flaring at a most inopportune time, both are classic Logan traits of his.
He might have pushed a bit too far too fast though. This Logan does seems to be more aware of himself than canon Logan, so hopefully he can man up and patch things up with Marie.
A nice mixture of the familiar and the strange.
Yours would be the third 1st person story that I've actually read. Usually I skip or rarely skim a 1st person story. But writing about Logan/Marie lends itself well to in depth explorations of the character and their thoughts. Still not a fan of 1st person but with the right characters and the right circumstance it does make for a interesting and enjoyable read.
Yes, poor Logan probably should have learned a little more about Rogue's past especially, instead of just assuming/hoping everything was pretty much the sameas before. Logan does have a tendency to let his temper flare and react passionately;but in my mind he's a lot more introspective and emotionally intuitive than people give him credit for, and so after his inital passionate reaction, he has time to think things over and will try to make things right, especially when it comes to Marie.rn
A nice mixture of the familiar and the strange - exactly what I was going for! :)
So, so sad. The angst is part of what makes this such a beautiful story, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I wasn't missing the happy sexy times already! Looking forward to seeing what's next, it'll be exciting whatever happens!
I think the angst and pain make the good times all the sweeter in the end, but I need those happy sexy times in between, too. There's definitely going to be a mix of both in the coming chapters!
While the angst absolutely broke me, there's something slightly thrilling about rogues ability to manhandle Logan. Probably shouldn't think that as it wasn't in the happiest circumstances, but there it is. I need the next part of this wonderful story right now! My fingers are crossed that the shipper tag will be able to overrule the angst one, although I can just about cope with a little more angst...
I agree, there is something about Rogue being strong enough to manhandle Logan that puts an interesting twist in the dynamic of their relationship. I think it's pretty telling that she could have thrown him off at any time, but didn't until that last moment. And I promise, the shipper tag with make it all worth the angst. :)
Ouch, my heart :( devastating. Sad that Logan can't see that she isn't the same girl as before and won't remember their history from the alternate timeline, but I understand the desperation :( I'm selfishly hoping he'll be able to touch her with her skin turned on so she'll have his memories of her. Really hope there will be a new chapter soon, because I don't know how to cope with this angst, lol.
I'm sorry for hurting your heart! It had to be done, but I promise to make it all better eventually. :)
