I love the strength of rogue in this story, and I'm not really talking about her powers. Not many write a truly strong rogue,/Marie or when they do she loses her sweetness and heart. You wrote her perfectly

Whoops! Getting so into the story I clicked through to the next chapter and almost forgot to review! I really like this insight into Logan's thoughts. This moment was just spectacular:
He turned his head and slowly swooped down, wanting to taste her mouth, wanting to drink her in. She wanted him!
“Don't,” she whispered.
Or not. He stopped his movement but didn't pull away. He brought his eyes up from her lips to her suddenly terrified eyes.
“My skin...” she added. And he could breathe again.
“Was never a problem...” he finished.
Love seeing Logan's momentary doubt, and his reassurance.

You do such a good job describing Remy's power here, I can almost feel it. And I like Logan's reaction...not over-the-top (except for his threats, of course) but you can sense how discomfited he is by her taking in some of Remy.

Aw...I love how they can talk things through. And how Logan acknowledges that he barely knew Jean, it's amazing how little time they actually have together. This is a nice slow build to the Rogan relationship.

Aw, this chapter was so poignant. Logan, Logan, Logan. How can you be so sweet and so damn dense at the same time? Of course Rogue would be horrified to know you snooped in her file, even if it resulted in meaningful sparkly jewelry. And, her getting Logan through touch, and the lure of the powers. Just a great chapter all around.

Laconic!Logan is hilarious. He doesn't go for hypotheticals and shit. :-)
Author's Response: I'm glad you like that line. When I sat there thinking about how the conversation would go, I could totally envision Rogue worrying about all this stuff and Logan just shrugging it off. LOL.

SO much better than X3! I love kick-ass Rogue, and the turning-into-glass mutation was kind of randomly cool. I like Logan cutting off Marie from absorbing more too.

This is such a great chapter. First of all, it's a really clever way to get Rogue on-site to Alcatraz. The test looking like a pregnancy test was a wry, realistic little moment. This part was great: "Her skin crackled with the sensation. She could feel it reaching out, wanting to take in the life-force of the person brave enough to challenge it. But nothing happened." Such a tense moment of first touch, and then it all goes to hell. And...aw, how sweet is Logan kissing her forehead. Yum.
Author's Response: I like moments where tough Logan shows how much he cares. It's always in little ways, but so meaningful! : )

This is such a gripping first chapter. I like that this is a hard decision for her, and she's really thought about both sides. Her mutation is not the unbearable curse it can be sometimes, now that she's worked toward control. Logan's comments shake her confidence a little bit, but in the end, she really does want touch more than any of it. And of course all your Rogan fans are swooning guessing why...

Curious to know how his chat with Worthington went. Also curious about the baby stuff. :) perhaps a short sequel someday of the birth or a day with the baby or something? ;)

Thank you for writing this. I've really enjoyed the ride. Your Marie is a great blend of tough and vulnerable, and I really like the way you portray Logan. Seems like you left an opening for a sequel about Marie's pregnancy. I'd love to read another story from you sometime.
