Oh MAN. That's all I can say. You write Jean so well.

Author's Response: thank you, i try. (and it's not easy because she's not someone i feel a lot of affinity for). thanks (belatedly) for the review.

Aww... poor Wolvie :(. Gah, that must really suck, knowing that he and Rogers were both government experiments yet the results came out so different. I didn't think about that.

Also, Jean=bitch. But you did make her reasonably sympathetic, so kudos. Please please please give us a Rogan ending. Please? I like Captain America and all, but Wolverine and Rogue are like, my OTP 4eva, y'know? And they're so meant to be in this story. He doesn't even want Jean cuddles when he's upset. Bad Jean cuddles. That should tell us something, right there. I just hope Logan and Rogue both come to their senses!

Author's Response: hi, i know this is a little late but i wanted to thank you for the above review. have to say, i knew from the beginning that this wouldn't end up being rogan (it's why i tried to be so up-front with everyone, rather than getting their hopes up). i'm therefore happy that you gave the story a chance anyway. i personally feel like, yeah, logan's in pain and with someone he might not really want but a lot of it is self-inflicted. at the end of the day rogue deserves to be happy, even if it's with steve... so i think wolvie will just have to settle for bad jean cuddles ;-)

wow. that was emotional. Have to say, still hate Jean. She knows she is hurting Rogue and likes it. And jeeze. How big a mess are logan and Marie gonna make for themselves. Just talk to each other for heaven sake!

Author's Response: hi, i didn't get a chance to respond last night when i was posting the final chapter but i wanted to say thanks for this review, and i hope you enjoy the final chappie. cheers

Argh! I try to avoid angst without happy endings! But because you wrote this I had to take a peek. Damn you and your clever compelling writing! Well, at least you warned us so I won't be surprised by the lack of happy-Rogan-everafter. Sigh.

Author's Response: well, even though there's no happy ever after for logan i hope you enjoy the rest of this. thanks for the review, and don't worry- there's another chappie of "stray," on the way to cheer you up...

Oh my, I love this story. I'm thinking three chapters isn't going to be long enough. Absolutely can't wait to read the next chapter!

Author's Response: turned out you were right: three chapters wasn't quite enough. thanks for the review, glad you're enjoying it...

Oh. Wow. This pairing never would have even occurred to me, but I like it, weirdly enough. You write Captain America really well :). I love the use of his 'voice' in the narrative. "I think she's swell!" Hehe.

Okay, so when you said this story wasn't going to have a happy ending, that put me off and I almost didn't read it. But I'm soooo glad I did. This was great. Not too terribly, heart-breakingly angsty, but just angsty enough. And the moment in the sim when Rogue realizes she can touch Steve, and Wolverine's reaction to it--priceless. I cannot wait to read the last chapter of this. Or maybe I don't want to read the last chapter. It's stupid, but even after what you said, I'm still somehow hoping for a Rogany ending.

But regardless of the outcome, you definitely have a great story here and I will be waiting with bated breath for the last installment! Update. Soon. Pwease =D =D =D

Author's Response: hey, thanks for the review. glad you like steve's voice because i was a little nervous about it; i kept asking myself how much period detail should i put into his narration? how old-fashioned should i make him? if he comes across as naturalistic and sympathetic then i'm a very happy hobbit. as for where the pairing came from- it just occured to me out of the blue during the captain america movie. glad you think it works- i quite like it myself. now i know what i said but this isn't actually the last chapter, i just hope you enjoy the penultimate one just posted. thanks for the review and hobbits away, hey!

Ohh how they hurt each other because they can't seem to admit how they feel to each other. Great story so far. I can't wait for more.

Author's Response: ask and ye shall receive, hun. you're right, they are good at hurting one another because they can't be honest. glad you're enjoying it and thanks for the review...

Gah! What a great premise! Love, love, love it. Logan finally has competition. You write Rogue and Rogers very well. Can't wait to see what's next!

Author's Response: so happy you're enjoying this. don't know where the premise came from; was watching the captain america movie and it just occured to me that he'd be a really good match for rogue. something about how darn nice he is, struck me as the kinda man who wouldn't hold her mutation against her. hope you enjoy the new chapter and thanks for the review.
