Aaaaauuuuuugggghhhhh! Leaving it there! I want reconciliation and snuggles and....all sorts of things. :-) Marie looking after Logan while he's unconscious is so freakin' sweet, as is her Inner!Logan reassuring her. I liked that you're showing another side of the other X-Men, and interesting that Xavier is orchestrating the "cover story." Stupid statistics. Let atmd get back to the IMPORTANT stuff!

LOL. I love what you've done with this. The characters are so perfect and the premise just gets better and better.
Author's Response: Thanks! I felt kinda 'blegh' about these chapters, because they were all about the logistics of getting Marie and Logan back to New York and (physically) recovered. But they were necessary, and I tried to make them as quick and painless as possible, heh. And really, haven't we all suspected that Xavier was God at some point? I mean, c'mon, he is pretty much omniscient.

I'm sitting at work, bored as hell, when my phone blows up alerting me to updates.
I practically flew through these chapters devouring them like a thirsty person in a desert who finally finds water.
Awesome job! The connection between them is strengthening despite Logan being unconscious and Marie still reeling from the feral state.
I can't wait until Logan wakes up. Why do you always have to end at the good parts??? Arrggg!
Good luck with your final! I finished mine last week. *Evil laughs*

Author's Response: Glad to relieve your boredom, at least for a little while =). And congrats on your finals *grumble grumble*. Logan and Marie are definitely going to be growing closer. They still don't really know each other yet, even though they have this strong instinctual connection. It's kinda fun to write!

Ok, I am finally getting back to reading again!
I wanted to review each chapter, but I just got so caught up in the thick of everything that I couldn't stop hitting the NEXT button until it came to a skidding stop. I know this one review won't suffice, but I was just gripped by the feelings of both Logan & Marie.
I'm glad Jose got what he deserved especially after what he did to Marie and the countless other girls.
Another thing that really struck me is the fact that Wolverine is in her mind, protecting her and supporting her. It's like he's not just a dark beast locked and kept away, but he's doing what his mate needs.
Everything about this is painfully beautiful. I hope Marie gets to her mate soon.

Such a great chapter. I like the she was the one to "end" Jose, but not really out of malice. And this:
You don't cower. Ever.
I need a Wolverine in my head giving me motivational speeches from time to time!
A very neat idea, that Inner!Wolverine wants him absorbed, to exact his revenge ad infinitum. And so awesome that she immediately recognizes Logan as her mate once she has his senses. I hope Marie can bring closure to the families and justice for those other girls.

Um, yeah. She really doesn't need to see that.
But SO HAPPY that she now knows he's her mate...er, or at least knows that that's what he thinks and also realizes how perfect their scents are together (wow, that could sound really awkward and stalkery in real life- so glad we Xman fans understand one another).

(I hate to say it, but I was a little confused why wounds would open on his skin since they only do that if he's recently been in a fight and then encounters her power...has Logan been doing some fighting I don't know about?? Hmmm???)
Also, LOVE that he already knows she's his mate. Amazing.
