Logan, LOGAN, *screaming really loud* LOGAN!!!
What is this?! I went on holiday for 5 days come back, looking forward to your many updates and I come back to this? you've broken my heart you wicked woman! They were all happy before I left! How could you??? xXx
Author's Response: Ooh sorry. Not exactly the best welcome home present, huh? Don't worry, I'll make up for it with future smut and happytimes. Promise :)
great story! characters are so belivable
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review! I'm glad you're enjoying the story :)
Poor Marie! I can't wait for Wolverine to get his revenge on Jose!
Author's Response: Yeah, these were a rough few chapters! Poor Marie is right. Thanks for the review
Poor Marie! I can't wait for Wolverine to get his revenge on Jose!
Omg she can't be dead!
Author's Response: Don't worry! I would never do that, and especially not without an explicit character death warning. There are enough sad endings out there; I wouldn't write a story with one :)
OMFG! This was insane! Poor Marie. Where is Logan? He needs to save Marie and kill Jose!!!
Author's Response: I agree. This was insane, and Logan definitely needs to commence with the saving!
Woah. That was so intense. The imagery you created, the emotion, the raw intensity...just wow. And that parting image--a disoriented Marie watching the dumpster lid close on her. Wow. Anxiously waiting for the next part. Keep up the great work!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. I'm glad you liked the parting image. I certainly found it disturbing, as it should be!
You shouldn't worry about it turning out bad because damn...that was powerful. Horrible and gut-wrenching, but a very powerful scene. You captured that feeling of starting to slip away...
I'm thinking that Logan will give her some of that healing power, huh? I'm hoping, at least...oh god, what a horrible place to leave it. Thank goodness you update regularly (and hopefully especially quickly after leaving us with this?). But, anyway, great story and you're pacing it wonderfully.
Author's Response: You were right about the healing power :). Of course I wouldn't kill off Marie for good. That would just ... suck. A lot! Thanks for the review :)
I like the idea of writing it from the victim's perspective. I am hoping that was an emergency call the Xmen signal that Marie pressed. UPDATE SOON!!!!
Author's Response: Ha! That would be nice. Every phone should have one of those. Could come in damn handy if you, y'know, got a flat on the side of the road or something.
have to say, have been reading this from the beginning and am really enjoying it. looking forward to the next... hobbits away, hey!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. Glad you're enjoying the story, as I always enjoy yours!
Oh my goodness. Where to start. That was just heart-wrenchingly, blood-chillingly, brutal.
I really liked how "real" you kept the Jose/Marie interaction. It makes sense that she wants the money as a "safety net," her low self-esteem keeping her unconvinced that she's really someone Logan would want to have around.
Jose is mercurial enough that she's not being ridiculously stupid in choosing to face him again, but it has a very nice tragic logic that her newfound confidence / defiance is the thing that pushes him over the edge.
The stabbing scene was really well-written. I, as the reader, was just so desperately hoping for Logan to show up, even though it wasn't logical, he wouldn't have had time to stop it even if he got the phone call, but the sick feeling I got when I realized he wasn't going to make it in time was a pale mirror of what poor Marie was feeling.
So, when you say the next update won't be too long, you mean later tonight, right? Right?
Author's Response: I'm glad the stabbing scene came across well. I kept wavering between whether to go for the gore/pain/physical details, or just focus on the emotions Marie was feeling. Hopefully the emotional side was the right choice. And yeah, it was freakin' hard to *write* this because Logan kept trying to sneak in and suddenly, y'know, bust into the restaurant in a blaze of claw-wielding fury and claim his woman. Sneaky feral. Jeez, Doc, you're killin' me. Six chapters a day isn't enough? ;) lmao
Once again you have fascinated us with your amazing attention to detail.
That was a scary chapter, also finally Maries turning into the Rogue.
The part of me that has a conscience, almost feels sorry for Jose key word almost because whatever horrible things he's done is nothing compared to what Logan is going to do. The wolverine is good at what he does and what he does isn't very nice.
Author's Response: That's true. He's the best there is, eh? Thanks so much for taking the time to read and review. Jose is gonna get what's coming to him, for sure!
OMFG!!!!
Author's Response: INORITE?!?!
Ahhh! That was great but scary too. I can't wait to read more...thanks!
Author's Response: Ooh, sorry to scare. I definitely wanted it to be realistic though. Thanks so much for the review!
Well done! Can't wait to read more..
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I will try not to keep you waiting long :)
Holy moly. So intense. Poor Marie. I'm just going to say, "Bye bye, Jose." When Logan gets ahold of him, he'll be in a million pieces.
Author's Response: True that. Jose is going down, hard.
You. Are. Evil. Keeping us waiting?! AAAAH.
I mean, okay, we all know she's going to survive, but shit, woman, that's totally intense.
You know, I really hope that Marie's the one to dish out the comeuppance. As awesome as protective!Logan is, I wanna see kickass!Marie. She deserves it after all this.
Author's Response: She does deserve it. As far as I'm concerned, protective!Logan and kickass!Marie are *not* mutually exclusive entities. No reason we can't have both, right? (P.S. Yep, I am evil. True fact.)
