Oh Man.
I am just aching for them - Logan for desperately wanting her to reach out to him (love the whole, "tell me to stop" )while Rogue desperately needing to touch him. The bit about the shoelaces?
Heartbreaking.
And holy cow - Rogue is one freaky b*tch, lol! The Wolverine has met his match!

Author's Response: Ugh, I am aching for them too. Everytime I write them, they just want to throw themselves at each other. It's a struggle to pull them apart and keep some semblance of a plot, LOL.

Great chapter. I wonder when Rogue is going to start talking at least to Logan some. Can't wait to find out. Poor Rogue, having flashes of being attacked is hard. I hope Logan understands that, while helping her to overcome. Poor Logan too. Wanting her, but forcing his own instincts back until she's herself again, and can tell him what she wants. I am loving this story so much. Can't wait for my next fix. Keep up the great work.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I'm really glad you're enjoying the story. I've had to go out of town and have a big test next Saturday (yick) but after that hope to grind out this story with frequent updates!

Your dialogue is simply amazing. The connection that Marie is making with Logan is really starting to come through, and can I tell you, I just loved it when Rogue slugged him.
The descriptions you give of Marie/Carol/Rogue is so subtle and yet so clear, really allowing your readers to experience each individual woman and how Logan/Wolverine interacts with them. I know that Carol isn't part of the "quadrangle", but I appreciate how much of an affect she has on Rogue/Marie.
But that scene by the lake? Beautiful. You're making me want to disappear in the wilds of Northen Ontario and wake up extra early just to catch a sunrise like that! Only, I think I need a bare-chested Wolverine to complete the fantasy but I think your story will do just nicely.
I'll just have to re-read this wonderfully written chapter several times to get my fix. :)
Author's Response: Aw great. I'm glad you liked this chapter. I was kinda nervous about it . . . seemed a bit clunky putting all that exposition in at once, ya know? But oh well. We're back to the action now, moving forward. As for Northern Ontario sunrises with bare-chested Wolverine--um YES. Naoplz.

Oh man, ain't that the truth? I loved the struggle between Marie and Carol - Carol would be very dominant - and man, you got me all kinds of freaked out with Logan going all "Wolverine- y" on poor Marie! What's he going to do now, now that Marie has made an appearance...

You rock so much! Just popped on to review Chapter 4, and there Chapter 5 is, waiting for me. :-) Anyway, best line from this chapter is the whole darn thing, but this in particular: Those hungry little sounds spilled carelessly from her throat, and he wondered what it would feel like to press his mouth over hers and swallow them as they escaped.

Author's Response: Well, I was thinking Rogue didn't absorb enough of him to last more than a couple of weeks. He was only out for 20 hours, after all :P.

Ole boy! I knew Marie would make an appearance. Yea! I can understand why she'd be frightened of Logan right then, he was over the top with trying to show Rogue he was the dominate one, and that it wasn't nice push him to far. However, I hope Marie gets some steel in her backbone and faces Logan head on. Like she did with Carol.
I think Logan went a tiny bit to far with his act though and I'm glad he felt the shame of his actions.
I hope Logan will find a mate in Marie, like he did Rogue. And I hope Marie learns to trust and love Logan, even his more feral side the Wolverine. I am so loving this story so far. I can't wait to see what you've got cooked up for the next chapter. Keep up the great work.

Author's Response: Ugh, I know. I was really trying to make every chapter 2500-4000 words, but so far I think there are going to be two really short ones, and one that's much longer. Oh well. And thanks for pointing out my slip-up, Captain Grammar. Will fix posthaste! :P

And yet again, another fantastic chapter. I love how Logan and Rogue interacted with each other - so feral indeed! Is it okay that I was so hoping he was going to tear away at her?!
Okay, I'll calm down now. Scott would have imploded/exploded at the sight, poor proper baby that he is.
After reading that, I think I need some of that alcohol myself so considerately left behind on the bathtub ledge. (I loved that in the last chapter as well!)
