Well, it's been 5 years. I'm not sure you will even get this comment, but I will totally beta. MA in English, writing teacher, at home for many months bc of sick leave.... I would love to help you bc I think you are amazing. I've wondered if you started publishing "real" books under your real name.

This story is so great but I'm disappointed it's been so long since an update. Please don't leave us hanging!

I volunteer to beta-read - this story is awesome and I really like the feral side. Too often in comics the feral/animal side is shown to be all bad, when really it's neither good nor bad, but somewhere in the middle. I enjoy the complexity of the feral side more than say pure rage which is pretty one note.

By all means - I'm in as beta, what's involved?

I know I already wrote this, but seriously when will there be another chapter. Excellent writing all the way. Can't wait!

Oh mah gooshness! I can't wait for you to get back to working on this baby. I've managed to accidentally re-read it about four times since I stumbled onto it over the weekend. I really truly love the way you set up your dialog and the playful-and-not-playful interactions between Rogue and Wolverine&Logan, and the interactions between Marie and Logan. I'm an absolute sucker for ferals in any form, and I am head over heels fr both of yours. The details you have in here with respect to body language and "wolf-think" are just marvelous.

And please, do not berate yourself for the "Logan/Marie moments that turn into entire chapters", they are wonderful to read and really allow us readers to get into the heart and soul of these two people. Love what you are doing, just LOVE it! I cannot wait for more of this. Really lovely!!!!

hey, i'd been meaning to read this for aaaages and now that i have i must say i'm really enjoying it. the stuff with the emergence of feral rogue earlier was handled really well (not easy that, the giggle factor on that sort of writing is a smile wide but you ably avoided it). i just hope that there's more of this on the way; thanks for a very interesting read. hobbits away, hey! So, if you're wondering about the delay in between reviews, it's because I went back to the first few chapters to re-read Mystique's involvement in the attack, and then found myself reading the whole story again from start to finish, just reveling in the awesomeness.

So...does Charles have bad info, or was that actually another shape-shifter, posing as Mystique posing as Tiffani? Very mysterious.

I thought this was a really cool concept:
But their occasional fantasies of her were just that—fantasies. They envisioned her with slightly larger breasts, a slightly smaller waist, and always, always touchable skin. Marie had never felt flattered by their thoughts of her; mainly, they left her feeling inadequate, like she could never quite measure up to what they actually wanted.

And this part was so ridiculously sweet and heartbreaking:

But he didn’t leave. He pulled her arms around him and wrapped his around her and nuzzled into her hair. “Take your time, baby,” he said in a soft rumble, running one finger back and forth along the silver chain at the back of her neck. “You just take your time and say it.”

Marie squeezed her eyes shut. “I’m sorry—sad—sorry . . . that I liked touchin’ ya even though I knew it hurt ya,” she got out in a rush. “That’s wrong. I don’t wanna hurt ya, and I’m g-gonna t-t-try—” she lost it.

Author's Response: AH, you caught me! It was Morph all along!! Heh, just kidding =). No, there's a hideously over-complicated plot device at play where Mystique is concerned. You shall see. I'm so glad this story was worth a re-read for you. Makes me think 'The Prisoner' is totally worth a re-read too, and I should probably go do that sometime soon. Hmmmmm happy thoughts!
