more detailed review will come later but I wanted to let you know I really enjoyed this chapter, it puts some pieces in place for me and has me on the edge of my seat for what is coming next.

I'm responsible for your phantom review. I posted it when you were having problems with the WRFA gremlins and your chapter was posted twice. I was just letting you know that the your update wasn't working, etc., and that you might want to make sure that you have a backup copy of your writing just in case the whole thing got deleted by those bastard gremlins.

Another great chapter here. Nice touch with adding Azazel and Mephisto- as always I enjoy the way you draw on the Marvel universe. Now, poor Stray just needs to catch a break. And where's that growly wolf of hers?

Okay so I am not completely sure who just grabbed Stray. I love the idea that it was the Phoenix that wanted Logan or that Logan was interested in (at one time) and not Jean. The gold feathers were really cool and your descriptions of that enchanted were really compelling.

One question, was it Shaw who attacked Stray? That is who I thought it was but when Gold made the comment about her pet I started to wonder?

Author's Response: hey hun, glad you enjoyed the last chapter. i have this theory (completely film-cannon based) that the phoenix and the wolverine were the two really attracted to one another; two people's collective ids were trying to get it on rather than the whole love-that-spans-the-ages notion. If that's the case then it stands to reason that the phoenix would be interested in the wolverine- or in this story's case- his inner beast. as for who attacked stray, this chapter answers that very question- and hopefully poses some others. so i hope you enjoy it :-) oh, and don't worry. Logan's not far away...

Aw poor Stray. My heart goes out to her. Who stole her away and why? I hope Logan finds her and they work things out. Sigh... Keep up the great work!

Author's Response: don't worry, i ain't done with logan and stray yet. there's just some other suffering i have to put the poor girl through- man, i can be a cruel author... but on the other hand i plan on rewarding them both with a really good sex scene so hopefully they'll forgive. thanks for the review

I'd love to keep reading to find out, I intend to do exactly that. But may I gently point out the difficulty in such a task when one has reached the end of the writing.

Things are heating up! I love this part:
