Brilliantly unique, I love the concept of this.....how touch = betrayal, how Logan is confused at his own reaction, how it’s Wolverine fighting to stop it happening again. Very well written, your descriptions, actions and dialogue were fantastic, such clear imagery as you read.

Not important but slight confusion for me - Logan asking about Bobby when she’d already admitted that if she went to Remy he would be her first?

Unlike everyone else I wouldn’t be disappointed if this was the end, not that I won’t continue reading and probably thoroughly enjoy what else you have lined up - but just *love* the way this is ‘as is’. (no doubt I will eat my words by the time you post the next part!!)

Author's Response: oo, thanks for the catch, litlen. I'll edit that out soon. :) I did think about leaving it there...but the idea of playing with a naked Logan is just that little bit too tempting.

It amazes me when someone hits on a completely new idea, one that is completely original to the fandom. What I can't figure out is how we have missed this, because the way you tell it, this IS what happened. You, creating canon, right there, I think. The idea of Wolverine being uncomfortable with love is old, but uncomfortable with physical touch! So incredibly right, and true to that character. And yes, marvelous writing, very tight and incisive and evocative. But that idea ... has me buzzing. Shut up brain. (And welcome to the WRFA!)

Hot damn. This story was all kinds of awesomeness. Loved the idea (Wolverine feeling that touch = betrayal even though Logan forgave Kayla). Loved the Logan dialogue, so true to him, even when he's being an ass. Loved how Marie was strong enough to get to the bottom of it instead of just rushing out in a melodramatic teenage huff. Loved how playful they were at the end.

Here is what I *did* not love. You are such a tease, ending there! And the fact that when I went rushing off to read everything else you've ever written, there was nothing there. C'mon...more more more!

This is, without a doubt, one of the most thoughful, tightly-woven 'first-time-'cause-she-has-control-now' stories I have ever read. Hell, it's going into my short list of favorite stories -- ever, of any ilk. Bravo on making the connection between Kayla's touch and Marie's -- so original and so spot on. It makes perfect sense and still it never occurred to me before. And I also love that Logan forgave Kayla, but the Wolverine didn't...interesting that the feral side of him remembers her first before Logan figures it out. This was also exceptionally hot and he hasn't even properly kissed her yet...You can write more smut from Marie's POV--or anybody else's for that matter--any time you want. --Wendie
