She turned at that, a shadow of hurt crossing her face, making Logan wonder. You're secondary characters, no matter the brevity of their appearance, share the flawless authenticity and depth of the main characters. It's astounding.

I love your dialogue, your marvelous lines down to the smallest detail, your unparalleled characterizations, intense but never over the top.

Your stories are page turners, even on the single-page of this digital screen. And I can't wait for the next.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked the character of Miss Frost (and again, props to Nimriel_Silverwood for suggesting my anonymous madam become Miss Frost). I found her really interesting too -- usually Logan is bumping up against all these idealistic characters, it's kind of nice to see him meet up with someone even more jaded than he is. In my mind she is sort of a Candace Bergen type. Beautiful bone structure but with a voice and glare that could cut you to ribbons if she wanted.

Porn with plot, finestkind. I really enjoyed this. The characters seemed very true to themselves and the smut was so very sexy. Well done.

Author's Response: Hiya, hobbit! So sorry...I think ending fics is the hardest part (I hate how corny the ending to "Into the Woods" is but I just can't fix it). With this one I kinda like where it ended, so I'll just have to leave it up to your imagination to provide the reunion smut. ;-)

I'm glad she tracked him down...probably the him in her head telling her where he would be... this was great...sorry its over, but this is a good place to stop it.

Author's Response: Yeah, I didn't really specify but I figured she would know his old haunts from having absorbed him. I realized afterwards I should have made the gap longer than two weeks (it's a lot farther than I thought between Westchester and Laughlin City!) but oh well. Thanks for reviewing!

Every now and then, a para comes along that just sums everything up - their entire relationship, the entire spirit of a fic, the reason we just LOVE to write Rogan ... and, imho at least ... you nailed it with this.

A half sob from her at that. “Impossible things.” She shook her head, and at first he thought she wasn’t going to say anymore. “That I’m not poison. That I’m not cursed. That he didn’t hate me. That he cared for me. And that he wasn’t afraid of me.” She put her head down again, and he saw the tears leaking out from under her eyelids. “I just thought...if there was just one person out there who wasn’t afraid of me, maybe it might be okay.”

Him, in her head, telling her to look beyond her own fears, and take a chance. That, for me, is the essence of Rogan and despite the fact I love the sexual potential, I love the feral, I love the twist on age old stereotypes, THAT is why I read, and write. The fact that you found that in the midst of a story allegedly about ManWhoreLogan is what makes this romantic and heartwarming. Thank you!

Author's Response: Wow, what a touching review. I am so glad you liked that part. I feel sometimes that I go overboard with Logan and Rogue's "issues," -- I do so love pathos and angst, and they both have such great potential there. I was worried there that Rogue was coming across as a little melodramatic. But you're right...the thing I find sexiest and most touching is when Logan acts against "type," and to know that the Logan in her head is brave enough to be forthcoming about the way he feels just because he knows her thoughts and knows that she needs to hear it SO much...that was very sweet to me.

Author's Response: So glad you liked it! I thought he was quite sweet in the previous chapter, but I was worried that he came across a little cold in this one. In my mind he was just trying not to fall all over Marie when he first saw her, and it was his self-doubt/fear that was makign him play it so cool, but it's hard to convey that even though it was written from his point of view. And I had no idea before I wrote it that Marie would fall apart so completely...I'm finding it very odd how the characters surprise me. Thanks so much for your review!
