Didn't know if I'd like this, read a couple of the reviews to just get a feel for it. SOOOO glad I did!!  What a unique concept! Like any of us haven't considered the advantages of Logan being on the menu in a 'Manor House'!! It's so perfectly him to be all growly/grumbly in the corner, and that it keeps him from being chosen so Hooker!Logan isn't so off putting is just icing on the cake!  Wonderful job!! Simply WONDERFUL!

Nice! Very interesting angle. If I'd be there, I'd pick Logan in an instant as well. :)

Wonderful story!

I must say, after the first chapter I said - "Naw..." and abandoned it. But when I saw how good the rest of your stories are I came back. Very happy because of it!

Thank you, I enjoyrd all your stories.

Author's Response: Ha, I totally understand. I still have no idea why such an odd premise caught my imagination. Glad you stuck with it, and enjoyed it!

Author's Response: Yeah. For some reason, vocal-during-sex Logan is very yum to me also. ;-)

She turned at that, a shadow of hurt crossing her face, making Logan wonder. You're secondary characters, no matter the brevity of their appearance, share the flawless authenticity and depth of the main characters. It's astounding.

I love your dialogue, your marvelous lines down to the smallest detail, your unparalleled characterizations, intense but never over the top.

Your stories are page turners, even on the single-page of this digital screen. And I can't wait for the next.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked the character of Miss Frost (and again, props to Nimriel_Silverwood for suggesting my anonymous madam become Miss Frost). I found her really interesting too -- usually Logan is bumping up against all these idealistic characters, it's kind of nice to see him meet up with someone even more jaded than he is. In my mind she is sort of a Candace Bergen type. Beautiful bone structure but with a voice and glare that could cut you to ribbons if she wanted.

She stood, eyes closed, every other sense attuned to him as he circled and stalked her.
To coin a Sahara-term, you're offering pleases the Uterus Dinosaur. You make it go rharuuuurrr....

So many good lines in this, so many incandescently wonderful lines that make you make helpless noises of awe. Too many to quote--though I am tempted to do what so many mention and paste the entire fic. You are such a magnificent writer; your fics are irresistible, unforgettable and we can only hope that you'll share many, many more fruit of your genius with us.

Author's Response: LOL, my son is very much into a book called "My Oh My Oh Dinosaur," and now I can't read it without waiting for the Uterus Dinosaur to make an appearance!

“Sorry,” he said gruffly, and even to his own ears the words sounded more like an accusation than an apology. Oh, how do you *do* it? So perfect. So well-written. So *right*.

The only depiction of that particular sexual act I've ever enjoyed (hypersensitive gag reflex, has been a bit too squicky for me to even read--forgive my crudeness). Underlines what I said before--you can write absolutely anything and keep our eyes glued on the screen.

Author's Response: Ha, that's quite a compliment. I don't know why but there's something about a vocal-during-sex Logan that is just...yum. Maybe because he's so grudging with his words otherwise, it's just a mark of how much he is affected when he starts babbling during sex! Go figure.

Long winded? It's fantastic, marvelous, poignant and, most importantly, necessary. It's almost better than the smut (and that is very, very difficult feat). Everything but long-winded.

I love the depictions of how he warns off other customers. Very yummy paragraph. And I can neither express nor understand how much I adore this--There was an All-American Joe type, blond and buff and looking like he subsisted entirely on whole milk and apple pie. There was a sulky-looking slender young Latino man, who was equally popular with male and female clients. Logan watched as Roger, a somewhat older, elegant man raised a glass in acknowledgement of the girl -- he was especially popular with the rich girls looking to work out their daddy issues. It's beyond words good.

“No one else. I can do it.”

“As much as possible, I want it to seem real.”
Both of these so in character you may have been interviewing them as you typed.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you like the set-up, and to know which lines particularly caught your attention. Yes, as much as Logan can be antisocial I really do consider him to be a pretty keen judge of character (it's the predator in him, right?) and I thought people might enjoy hearing how he sized up the "competition" in his somewhat jaded and sarcastic but actually quite insightful way. And I also did like the part where he takes the leap to actually lay claim to Marie, without even realizing that he meant to. I try not to go overboard with the love-at-first-sight stuff, but I will totally cop to possessiveness-at-first-sight, and when Logan thinks of Marie with any of the others it's enough to push him into the situation he has otherwise been trying his best to avoid...

Horrible how long it's taken me to get back to this. Shame, shame, shame on me. No amount of "busy" can excuse it.

Anyhoodles, like another reviewer said, Logan's unwillingness is really what makes this story plausible. It could have been silly, with the barest of excuses to cover the smut (like the plot of a porno--mailman delivering a package...). Instead it's sublime AU with characters as intricately woven as a fine rug, a homemade basket.

Favorite lines:
"
“Does it even matter? Is there anything you wouldn’t do to get out of here?”
(This ties back to that plausibility thing. Just brilliant.)

"One word from me, and you’d be on the run for well and good. If that was something you could tolerate you wouldn’t still be here." So fascinating. You rarely see fics where Logan is less than prepared to and comfortable with running.

Favorite:

Author's Response: Rose, you are SO sweet to review every chapter! Of course, now you have me wondering if I can sell a UPSGuy!Logan..."Package, darlin'?" "Why yes, sugar, bring it right on in..." I was also wondering how to explain Logan taking the deal and not just running, but in my mind I rationalized it by saying he's really got more of a history of running from emotion, or responsibility, and then of course drifting. Staying "under the radar" is important enough to him that I think he would seriously have to re-consider any action that might have the government looking for him in earnest, which of course busting the claws out and wreaking havoc in a county jail would probably do...

I always took PWP to stand for 'plot, what plot?' But since this story was so awesome, 'porn with plot works too. Either way, this story was so much fun to read. It was so easy to pull emotions off of the page. I applaud you for that. I love all of your fics, so keep them coming please! Kiss kiss!

Author's Response: I've never heard of "Plot, what plot?" but that certainly fits too! I'm so glad you liked it. Kiss kiss right back atcha!

Sahara told me this was good--and that girl sure doesn't lie. It's not the kind of thing I usually go for, but your suburb way of writing, your unparalleled characters, details, dialogue, make it easily better than a thousand other "bests". You have proven, with this incredible slice of genius/smexy masterpiece, that you can write anything--ingredient labels for Sprite, Chinese menus--and it will instantly reach a must read (or must rerereread) status. Are you sure you don't write professionally? Very hard to believe someone of your talent does not.

Fully intend to rerereread this, and comment on every wonderful chapter, but I'm about two minutes away from being late to work so for now....

Author's Response: Aw, some day you and I and sahara need to have a X-Men movie marathon slumber party! You are so amazingly complimentary in your review, and it makes me blush because it's so much more than my smutty little fic deserves. :-D

Porn with plot, finestkind. I really enjoyed this. The characters seemed very true to themselves and the smut was so very sexy. Well done.

The fact that he was reluctant was what made the whole thing work. Not to mention that he did his best to alienate all the other Joans that liked to look, but not touch. The way he zero'd in on Marie was primal and that whole 'Lesson' made me jealous.

Author's Response: Yes, I agree, reluctance was key to a believable Hooker!Logan. And I'm also jealous of the lesson...Marie gets all the fun!

Oh, holy hell *fans self* this was...mmm...this was ridiculously hot, while still managing to be a bit bittersweet, and a little fluffy as well. It's REALLY not every day that I find a fic that has all of those elements all rolled into one. So yea, you get super gold-stars for making such a DELICIOUS PWP that actually DOES have a plot :-D

Author's Response: So glad you liked it, especially since I love your stuff. Yeah, I've never been clear on whether PWP is "Porn With Plot" or "Porn Without Plot," but since this came out about half and half I guess it works either way. ;-)
