Beautiful. And the hints of danger and malice and foreshadowing foreboding that you apply to each chapter can be downright eerie. Every chapter I go away with even more questions than before and ever so much interest in their answering outcome. Bounty hunter guy, what is he doing to track her down? Will he be bringing a big bag of hell to New York? Remy is so going to get sucked into the underbelly of something nasty, isn't he? I'm guessing that he's investigating the not so random and perfectly acceptable explained disappearances, no? Are you going to set Marie's parents on fire or simply skin them alive and roll them in salt? Too graphic? Or will they simply walk away from this in a high righteous snoot?
