Congratulations on taking over the top review spot (with this comment, I might add)!
Looking forward to the rest, with everyone else.
Author's Response: >jumps in the air, grabs, hugs, and kisses< THANK YOU!!!! Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!!!!!!! Woot!
Love, love, love this chapter and love this line : "Crossed his arms and arranged his face into something encouraging--it was getting easier, with practice, to do so."
And I want to hurt Jean, presumptuous bitch.
Author's Response: Hahahaha!!! Thanks, Im so happy you liked that. That line was actually thrown in during my last edit! >big grin<
." What did she see? What did she see? Whatdidsheseewhatdidsheseewhatdidsheseeohgodwhatdidshesee?" Don't know why but I just love this.
Please, never stop writing.
Author's Response: Awesome! I was hoping that line would be effective. Thank you. <3
Been reading this story since you started it. Was beginning to wonder if you were going to continue with it. I really like how your descriptions seem to just jump to life visually. Love the story and am looking forward to the next installment(s).
Author's Response: Awww! Sorry to make you anxious. I promise, I never stop writing a story before its finished. Thank you. That's one of the greatest things to hear.
"Nothing to tell the observer that the money he brought home came from the sale of children, women, and (the reason Logan was here): mutants."
Well, THAT part just woke me up. I can already tell this is going to be a good story, if the 226+ reviews didn't hint at that. ;) Can't wait to get into it!
Author's Response: *Squee!!* So, so glad you liked that. Thank you, and I hope you continue to enjoy the story. >hugs<
I just stumbled upon this tonight, and read it all in one go. I can't wait for more!
Great story, I really really want to know what happens next
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm so glad you feel that way. >hugs tightly<
Every time I have an awful day, you update your story and make it better. How do you know when I need you ?
Moviemom is right, I read a lot in English and French and you're one of the most talented writers I know
Author's Response: I'm so sorry-this one fell through the review cracks. I only found it now. And what a gem it is too! Thanks a million katrillion bajillion time. You have a knack for making me hug my computer monitor.
of course Ill email you, I didnt mean to hijack your review page (you can delete all this messages). whats your email?
Author's Response: Its no problem, I just wouldn't want my review count to go up if I haven't earned it. You can click on my name, then the "Contact" button. It's nifty.
I haven't read this chapter yet because it's the morning, and I'm always in a hurry in the morning and today more than ever. And I don't want to read your story in a hurry. But it's hard when you see your drug and you known you'll have to wait ...
Author's Response: Well, when you do read get to read it, I hope it's worth you're awesomeness. Thank you.
OMG! Loved this one! Hell, I love em all, but this one was just.... *sigh* Logan... you ol' dog... You're such a wonderful, wonderful man... And poor Rogue. =( Hopefully her life will get a little better?
Author's Response: Ha. You're so sweet. I'm so, so glad you feel that way. Gracias.
"The flesh at the front of the blades did not bunch up, but parted like meat cooked all day."
Your gift for descriptive metaphor always leaves me breathless. And usually has me smacking my forehead and saying, "Damn! I wish I'd written that!"
This is such an interesting beginning...everything is so understated--even Logan's method of torture was relatively subdued--yet, like a seductive whisper, already I can sense the depth of feelings that will eventually be involved. On to Chapter 2... --Wendie
Author's Response: YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!! (I'd fill this entire page with those A's, but this PSP has a text limit. Just know Im still screaming.) WELCOME BACK! Thank you for giving me one of the best mornings I've had in awhile. I dont know how you have the energy to be so awesome.
The Frankenstien Effect by Shadowlady. It has like 78 chapters or so. I happend to really like it. I'm quite partial to super long stories. I think its still listed in the top ten list of longest stories.
Author's Response: Oh. I thought it was some strange phsycology joke that was going over my head. Alrighty, thank you!
I have been reading this story on my mobile and I read it in the print preview format so all the chapters are on one page. It works well for long train rides. I say keep going. I don't like multiple storys if it doesn't need it. Keep going until the story is done then if u want to keep going then write a sequal but at least get Marie to the mansion first! Speaking of...is she gonna manifest soon?
Author's Response: It shows her power coming to life in chapter ten, but apparently that wasn't clear to some people. Im sorry. Thank you! Im always happy to hear from you!
In the last chapter (10) you asked the question of whether to make this story a two parter or continue on with one long story.
Personally, I would say continue on. I don't mind long stories if they are good and I do so enjoy all your stories that I have read so far.
That fact that or atory is 1.) long, 20+ chapters, or 2.) broken down into multiple parts does not keep me from reading them. If the story is good, I read on until it is done.
Thank you for your wonderful stories.
Regards,
Terry
Author's Response: I really appreciate your view, and Im just about going out of my mind with pride/joy at a new reviewer. Thank you.
I am so sorry for my previous insensitive comments, I am so sorry to hear of your friends passing.
Once again, this story is just wonderfully written and I was so excited to see the update in my email.
I am a rape/abuse survivor and I have held my tongue on making any comments to the fact but I have to say you do a very accurate job of portraying the inner turmoil of the situation.
Author's Response: Oh, no. Don't be! I was very happy when I got your review; I'm always terrified that people will lose interest when I do not update right away. I just wanted you to know that there was a real reason for my lack of a post. Thank you to the infinite degree....And I am so, so, so sorry to hear that. I'm glad you think I've handled her situation appropriately; I would never wish to undermine/disrespect such a traumatic event. Personally, it's not something I have ever been through--though this feels almost horrible to say. I did not want to-what's the word?-misrepresent myself.
Im terrible at reviewing but I have been reading this one since the beginning and I was getting awfully anxious for an update so Im glad you finally posted!
Well done chapter, you have a gift for conveying emotions and unspoken feelings.
Cant wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response: But when you do review, you make me unspeakably happy. Thank you...Im kind of worried about how little free time I have, but I promise I'll do everything I can to get chapter eight completed in time.
Hello *g*
Long time lurker and a big fan of your stories. I especially like your Logan - he is just so tender with Rogue. You write them both so beautifully.
Just curious, though. Are you by any chance Pinay?
Author's Response: >shakes hand, then hugs wildly< Thank you so, so much. No, Im not Pinay (Im not really sure what that is), but I would be willing to say I am, if that means you will continue to leave reviews as fantastic as this one. :~)
Great chapter as always. I'm looking forward to see Logan's reaction when he finds out the way the girl is living. And of course cant wait to see more interaction between them, its gonna be great since they already have some kind of connection. Please update soon! (And thank you soooo much for making the effort to update this one in time)
Author's Response: Dangit, I cannot think of a fitting way to say 'thank you' that I haven't used already. Suffice it to say that Im very very happy, and I really really really appreciate this. Muchas gracias.
Personally, I only read the reviews on the fics I really really like. Because reading other people interpretations is fun and helps with my own view on the story, things I could have missed, etc :)
Author's Response: I do a little happy dance every time I read that; Im so glad to know that I am included in that category. Thanks.
I was reading the reviews the other day and you asked for the issue where Logan meets a young girl in the corridor of the building they live, It starts in "Wolverine" V3. Issue Number 1, cheers
Author's Response: Y'know, Im always shocked when I hear that other people read fic reviews. It's rediculously obvious, of course, but somehow I got it in my head that they were just for the writers! But thank you, thank you so much for telling me. It was really kind of you. Imma wait 'til after this story is finished to buy it (so theres ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY zero chance of anybody saying that anything, you know, *spilled over*). Gracias! >hugs<
Ribbons of squishy flesh on the floor isn't scary to you? Or did you mean just for this chapter. Honestly, the wondering what happened to her left me with a good dose of wariness for a good chunk of the chapter. To clarify, thank you for writing a good quality, original look into Wolverine. It scares me at times and sickens me at others. But it always entertains. Thank you for the daily dosage of fingernail.
~Mia
Author's Response: Oh, my, how could I have missed that? Lmao. But I have to say, I really really really really really really really reeeh-eeally love your explanation. Its one of the nicest things Ive ever been told. Thank you!
Love the way you're developing their relationship. I wonder what happened to the girl when she was absent, only bad things cross my mind. By the way Id also like to know more about her background; Who does she live with? Doesnt she go to school? I even have a whole theory of whats going on (yes, thats what I do when waiting for the next update!). I cant wait till the next chapter, hope you can upload soon! Thanks
Author's Response: Thank you! The next chapter will provide a lot of answers/backstory. Im even considering doing it in her POV...maybe. I dont know. But I swear you WILL get answers. Im only 25% making it up as I go. ;~)
I'm not very good at reviewing, but I like were this is going and can't wait to read more.
Author's Response: Any review is a great review. >hugs<
Absolutely brilliant! It was worth the waiting but this is so good I wish the chapters were longer. Anyways, you're doing a super work here I can certainly picture the creepy hall, the killings, everything its like a movie. Please update soon I want to see more kid(marie)/logan interaction I beg you! :)
Author's Response: I promise to write as much as I possibly can, but it'll still probably take a week. >wince< But I promise much more interraction. Thank you so much.
yey another chapter! :D Im loving this story A LOT. Cant wait to see the way Logan gets closer to Marie- I love his personal struggle between what he knows he is (a killer) and the need he suddenly feels about taking care of that girl he barely knows, but probably he hasnt even realized that yet. Please pleaseee update soon! Thank you
Author's Response: A million gabillion thank you's, plus cookie dough. You are wonderful....And Imma try to update by next Wednesday. :~)
