This is unquestionably your best work so far. So poignant, especially this amazing line: 'If he lived after the battle, memories of her would come back to him but sadly he knew she never would.'
And this one, too: '...they both clumsily reached ecstasy, not even the hidden moon would be the witness of this act. The now falling rain would drown out their sounds of pleasure...' No soul-stirring romance novel mutual orgasms, just two people fucking in the dark, just barely managing to get it right--and then the damn rain washes it all away, like it never happened at all.
And, last but not least, as last lines go, this one is in a class all by itself. Spectacular! --Wendie

Wow – I love the tension you describe here, it’s brilliantly written and damn HOT! Yay!
This line made me shudder: “At times the tension between the two was so thick that the others would back away as if they could see it creeping threw the air like a deadly fog.”
Another fav line: “And now it was happening again but instead of seeing a friendly crush in those dark pools, lust had now replaced it, swirling so violently that she could feel it radiating from him.”
