Another darkly written and grim chapter - and I mean that as a compliment. I love it! And the closing line sent a shiver down my spine. I can’t wait to see how this develops...

“They were curled in each other’s embrace, like a mythic couple.” – great line. x

How sick am I that I get this excited about lab breeding program stories? And was that Xavier rounding up the calvery?

Charles better get his damn act together. What is the use of being the most powerful telepath in the world if you can't locate one young woman. :)

Great chapter.

Good heavens, there for a minute I thought maybe it wasn't going to be Logan's child. As awful as all of this is--the worst thing being that she could carry his baby all that time only to have Them take it away--at least it's his child They want.

'Amicus Humani Generis' doesn't compute in the Latin translators I used to look it up. From my high school Latin class, I figured out 'friend' and 'human' or 'man' and if I had to guess, 'generis' looks like maybe 'create' or 'procreate' or 'beginning', maybe? Guess I slept through class the day they taught that one! LOL!

Anyway, I'm still loving this story. The mystery is like a Rubik's Cube. You just get one part figured out and then there's a whole new scramble on another side to undo.

Love that he knows she's his mate and that he remembered her name. *sigh*

More, more, more! --Wendie

Author's Response: It's good to know that you appreciate this rather complicated story (*I* kinda get lost in the intrigue sometimes! blush). Regarding the latin quote, it means "Friend of the Human Race". I know it sounds like FoH, but...well, it's not. I wanted to put it as a bottom note, but in my frenzy, I completely forgot... (*BLUSH*)
