Ohhh noooo!!!!! I dont want it to be over!!!! This has been SUCH a fantastic story, I really appreciate that you wrote it, and the ending, well, it sizzles. And it makes me happy!!

Well my Sunday afternoon off and consequently the afternoon I’d put aside for all those horrible routine things like ‘housework’ went totally to pot and straight out the window after I got stuck into another of your wonderful stories! *thanks you profusely but shudders at the thought that the dreaded H word still needs to be attended to at some point ;)*

I thoroughly enjoyed this for so many reasons that I’d be here forever telling you about them. However there are a few things I feel I must mention. The main one is the pace. I loved how everything contained in your fic took it’s time, there were no quick fixes, this was more ‘real life’ with struggles and fights, thoughts and feelings whether right or wrong, knowing what to do and not having a clue what to do, misunderstandings, mistakes made etc but you kept it flowing, not going over the top with any of it. There was a gentleness to it despite the suffering.

Loved your titles, they deserve a special mention which I rarely do but you seem to have the knack of getting me to do it!

There was so much that was thought provoking, challenging the reader to question what would we do given the circumstances? How would I feel? What would I do? Etc. especially with your clever use of the other characters, really liked the deep insight into the Prof and the many roles he needs to be: can one man be all things? He has no children can he be a father? Is your best good enough when you still end up with failure? ....see, thinking again!

Couple of fantastic lines/para’s that really stayed with me

From My fathers Mansion: “These doors are bolted, and a heavy chain is wrapped around the handles, padlocked tight so that even if those bolts were thrown back, the doors still wouldn’t open an inch.

I never go into this room.

There are no windows. The room stops before the pews end and you would reach the place where the altar should stand; there is no holy shrine there. But there’s an occupant, one who prowls the aisle and the rows, clutching a black leather-bound book and muttering to itself. Its thoughts are black as well, ugly and cruel. They seep through the cracks of the door and give the walls of the room outside their greyish cast, no matter how hard I try to block the edges.”

That last line was pure genius, so powerful.

The doors, what was contained behind, you did so well with this chapter, a credible explanation of how her mind could work/how she could shut everything/herself away.

And from The Conviction of Things Not Seen; “To leave such pain behind you—I cannot understand how anyone could bear the thought. It angers me, the cruelty of it. And then I think how much pain could be endured before one ceases to care for anything else, and I know I must find the strength in my heart not to condemn.”

Just beautiful.

Here is a little secret: apart from the outline of the first chapter, My Father's Mansion was the very first thing written out of this whole saga. The rest of the story was written around those images, really. I'm glad you liked it. And I'm very happy you liked Peter's chapter too--the only time I've ever even tried to write more than a line or so for him.rnrnYou can go on all you like. ;) No writer will ever stop you.

Okay, so seeing that the last chapter was up may have prompted me to go back and reread the whole thing. I still love it. :) And the last two lines are absolutely perfect for an ending.

NO, NO, NO, THANK-YOU! I cannot tell you how happy I was to see this posted. Truly overjoyed. Ecstatic even. And, like every word of every chapter before it, it was perfect. Worth every drop of blood, sweat and tears it took to get it here.

'Is that all?' That line had me covering my face in embarrassment for her. Holy shit, she didn't just really say that, did she? Thing is, I KNOW she ain't the first virgin to think it, but she may be one of the few who's gotten away with saying it out loud.

I loved that it ended as it began, with Logan doing the telling. Another great line--almost better than any spoken declaration of love-- "there’s not one inch of her I don’t want to make sure I touch every day of my life." That sounds like 'til death do us part' to me.
