I really loved this story. Not many people take time to understand the bad guy or to help others to understand them. I guess it is just easier to place people in a slot that we understand, this story challenges those slots and it was wonderful to read.

WOW!!! That is a beautiful, wonderful, out of left field idea and I totally LOVE IT!! Brava, my dear, Brava!!

Author's Response: Thank you. Sometimes it feels like my brain is stuck in left field

Love this! I am a huge fan of Magneto, he is layered with history and you demonstrate (in so few words) that there is so much more to him than the typical ‘bad guy’.

Great line - "He wanted to have faith in humans, but sometimes found it hard to have faith even in mutants."

Very well done! x

Author's Response: He really is interesting thats for sure. I loved the scene with him and Rogue on the boat it was almost like he was talking to his granddaughter yet he's talking about why he's going to kill her. He's also very charming theres something about him I can't help but like.

That was lovely....complex villains are no different than heroes, it's just their choices that separate them.

It goes without saying that Jean is a bitch.

Author's Response: Thats how I feel he and Charles have almost the same ideas just different ways of going about them. After finding more out about him I just felt sad for him and wanted to give him someone who understood why he did the things he did.

'He was a son who became orphaned, a husband who became a widower, a father that ended up childless and a friend who lost his way.' This lovely poetic description reveals a lot about why he was the way he was. And Rogue can teach us all a thing or two about forgiveness, eh? That having been said, I suppose I'd be shooting myself in the foot if I called Jean a heartless bitch, so I guess I better not... --Wendie

Author's Response: No heartless bitch sounds about right for this story at least

Bravo! You've managed to take one of the most unsympathetic characters in the movie and make him a three-dimensional person and you slipped in a little Jean-bashing! Well done!

Author's Response: Thanks couldn't help myself with the Jean-bashing

Really nice. Erik never was a simple villain. He had reasons to hate. And Jean should rethink her choice of profession.

Author's Response: I just couldn't help but make her bad. She's just to perfect.
