I just happened to read other people's comments and I want to say this - I don't think you should feel pressured to adhere to any pairing just because this site is called the Wolverine and Rogue fanfiction archive - they are both in the story, they interact, we see what is going on in both their lives, and regardless of whether they end up together or not should not really matter as long as we see the evolution of a story. Otherwise we would all be pressure to only write happy endings, or only write certain pairings or only .... you get the idea. It's your story and you can do what you like with it. We all accept that. I think that this story has more attraction for me for two reasons - one that you have managed to make this pairing work without making either character to over the top and alternate from canon, and secondly we might see a different dynamic between Marie and Logan with this storyline, they will have to confront a lot more issues, his lack of action (he's the older/mature one), her seeming betrayal(how else will he see it - he's hardly gonna say Good On You Girl), his expectations(What - she was meant to wait around forever until he got up the guts to approach her? She doesn't have a healing factor and thus is not immortal - times a wasting), her independance(which she is finally asserting towards Logan's place in her life instead of reacting semi-passively to his actions), I think that is very brave and adventurous of you to take that approach and I think it makes a great change from the typical tale, fluff or angst, where you know what's going to happen, just not when. This tale keeps you guessing. Go You!!

Interesting insight into Victor's character. I also dig that she's got the whole 'danger as aphrodisiac' thing going on. Personally I think she's projecting a few too many similarities with Logan onto Victor. But hey, whatever gets ya through the night... ---Wendie

This is going places I clearly did not expect. I sure wish he'd change his mind, but he probably won't. If he goes through with this then I'm with Corinne, let Rogue have a night with Victor and break it to Logan with his own words, 'What the fuck? What's one more one night stand?'
